Summary

The website content discusses the challenges older women face in dating compared to older men, with a humorous tone and personal insights.

Abstract

The article, part of a Feminism series Vol.2, delves into the dating struggles that older women encounter, which are often more pronounced than those of older men. It humorously plays on the word "menopause," suggesting a rock band name "The Hot Flashes" for menopausal women. The piece references a movie with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin, "It's Complicated," to illustrate the complexities of dating later in life. It also offers a response to a quote by Julius Evans, who suggests that men can more easily start over in relationships. The author provides a gift to readers by recommending a website for watching movies and mentions other stories inspired by Evans's quotes, covering topics like marriage and comment etiquette.

Opinions

  • The author expresses a preference for older women's wisdom and finds it sexually attractive, identifying as a sapiosexual.
  • The term "menopause" is humorously reinterpreted as "Men? Oh, Pause!" to lighten the conversation around aging and dating.
  • Older women are perceived to have a harder time in the dating scene, especially when compared to older men who may seek younger partners.
  • The author disagrees with the notion that it's easier for men to start over in relationships, as suggested by Julius Evans, and uses personal anecdotes and cultural references to support this view.
  • The article challenges societal norms by highlighting the difficulties faced by older, divorced women in finding new partners, contrasting with the relative ease for older men.
  • The author provides a resource for readers to enjoy movies, indicating a desire to offer value beyond the article's content.
  • The piece is part of a larger body of work that addresses feminist issues and relationship dynamics, suggesting a commitment to exploring and discussing these themes.

I love older women!

I’m a sapiosexual (someone attracted to smart people)…I find their wisdom sexy…is that weird?:

I love the word “menopause” to me it’s pronounced ‘Men? Oh, Pause!’🤣

I’m going to start a rock band with all men-oh-pausal women called ‘The Hot Flashes’…lol (my husband’s idea)

Especially geared to older pre-menopausal/menopausal women.

When it comes to dating, older women have it harder than older men.

It doesn’t have to go down like that but it does for them more than men.

“Usually, it’s so much easier for the man to pick up and start over.” — Julius Evans

It’s easy for a pretty young thing to move on and find another man, but older and especially older divorced men are into pretty young things with a young uterus they can start over new families with.

Older women have it harder than older men.

This movie with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin explains it all. The movie is aptly named: ‘It’s complicated 🤣

This story is a response to Julius Evans quote:

“Usually, it’s so much easier for the man to pick up and start over.”…in his story:

Thanks Julius!
