THE SCRIBER’S NOOK NEWSLETTER — MARCH 2024
❤ Non-Medium members can read this story freely here: ❤
Welcome, Scribers, to our March newsletter! We’ve been delighted this month to see soaring heights of creativity from so many of you!❣️
☆ If you missed our February issue, catch it here …
☆ The Scriber’s Nook is home to lovers of fiction, poetry, and more.
☆ All writers (emerging or established) are welcome to join the Nook and showcase their creativity via short fiction, poetry, book chapters, performance pieces, memoirs, or just plain flights of fancy.
☆ Genre writer? Sci-fi, supernatural, romance, speculative, crime, historical? We love genre! 🚀❤️⭐️
I’m delighted to report that over the past 30 days our small but niche publication has garnered a whopping 2,185 views with 1,459 minutes of reading time. This could not have happened without our repertoire of amazing writers.
The Scriber’s Nook has become a haven of prolific and eclectic offerings❣️
A big thanks to each and every one of you (especially our regulars — you know who you are!) for all your contributions.
★ If you’d like to join our growing troupe of writers, please follow The Scriber’s Nook and respond with ‘I’d love to write for The Scriber’s Nook!’ Please leave your @ username!
★ Length: We accept submissions up to seven minutes on Medium’s timeclock. We have many writers and our aim is to devote equal time to each of you and your submissions. Some stories have been coming in at ten, all the way up to 23 minutes. As editors, longer pieces monopolise not only our schedule — but take time away from your fellow writers. Submissions therefore longer than seven minutes will be declined.
It’s perfectly acceptable, however, for longer stories (over seven minutes) to be split into two or more parts and submitted separately over separate days.
★ Private Notes: Should we need to discuss your submission before publication, we’ll leave feedback via a private note. We have some submissions backlogged where private notes haven’t been checked or responded to. Please make sure ‘Private Notes’ are enabled on your account settings. Please check back periodically on your submissions. Your articles won’t be published until we receive your response.
★ As writers for The Scriber’s Nook, we support each other. We are respectful, we read, we engage and we clap, (yes, keep that finger down and enjoy the fireworks until it reaches a nice morale-boosting❤️ 50! ❤️) It costs us nothing but the morale boost it provides our fellow writers is pretty outstanding.
Many of you are particularly prolific so multiple submissions by the same writer are featured.
