For example, some people overindulge in healthy foods or overdose on valuable supplements. An excess or deficiency of beneficial nutrients can disrupt equilibrium as our body and mind depend on a delicate balance. Therefore, I constantly focus on the importance of balance in my stories.
In a previous post, I mentioned that health is all about homeostasis (balance) of functions and energies. Besides, the sweet spots can be different for everyone and may change over time, so we must be open to making adjustments as needed.
Homeostasis maintains health using strict biological and physiological rules. Hormones, neurotransmitters, and other biochemicals are regulated by being downgraded if they pass the threshold. For example, the dopamine pathway, as a reward system, counters with punishment.
Our basic needs, like nutrition, exercise, sleep, rest, and fun, are essential for our survival. However, we know that excessive or inadequate nutrition, training, sleep, and rest can destroy our health. Striving for the sweet spot can prevent overindulgence and hesitation.
Ancient wisdom informs that “Everything in your life which you have in excess than you actually require is poison. It may be material possessions, strength, wealth, greed, pride, desires, expectations, hatred, anger, and even love”.

The term is commonly used in science, business, and engineering to refer to the ideal, most efficient point or range of a particular variable or process.
It is also used in sports. For example, baseball refers to the part of the bat that produces the most power when hit by a ball. In golf, it refers to the optimal area of the clubface that produces the best results when striking the ball.
We shouldn’t confuse “sweet spot” with “moderation,” as this overused and misleading term does not apply to everything. For example, smoking cigarettes, taking harmful drugs, eating unhealthy food, drinking dirty water, and exposing the body to toxins in moderation does not make sense.
The concept of a sweet spot can be applied to many different aspects of life, from physical fitness and health to personal and professional development. The concept is well understood by some cultures to pay attention to a balanced life.
I’d like to give three examples to understand the sweet spot concept to consider in various aspects of life, such as physical, psychological, and occupational. For example:

From a psychological point of view, the sweet spot can be attained by achieving an equilibrium between stress and relaxation. By maintaining balance within the sweet spot, you can improve your mood, decrease anxiety and depression, and enhance your overall sense of well-being.
For occupation and business, the sweet spot can be identified as the balance between work and leisure, considering risk and reward.
