Here are three cases of mannequin manhandling that led to criminal charges.

Thrice the Thievery

A Toronto man was so happy with his theft of a lingerie-wearing mannequin that he came back to the store for seconds about a week later, and then thirds the following month. Constable Allyson Douglas-Cook described how the crime was committed this way: “Basically it’s a display case with mannequins wearing lingerie, and each of the three times that he broke the display case at least one mannequin was stolen wearing lingerie.” Apparently the third time was the charm because there were no further reports of the unidentified suspect’s mannequin theft.

It wasn’t just the lingerie that tickled his fancy; it was the mannequin.

The One-Arm Bandit

When a drunken Nashville man walked into the Hustler Hollywood store after midnight, he was interested in the merchandise.
