REMOTE WORKING
Is the Future of Work, Remote Work?
It’s become a common mindset that we aim to now live to work instead of work to live; remote working allows us to do just that.
Is your future remote?
Many offices are left wondering how to plan for a post-pandemic future. Many companies planning to use the hybrid model where employees' time is spent part working in the office and part working from home, whilst others have already decided to take the leap to go full remote.
The way we work really has changed rapidly over the years, from commuting into an office to being fully remote and everything in between — the hybrid model is becoming a common working model for many organizations.
With productivity on the rise from those working from home, the shift to remote working, flexible working hours has been taking place all over the world.
There is now more understanding of employees' needs and wants outside of work and so, changes are taking place on a daily basis to find solutions to build company cultures in the remote world of working.
More and more people are moving over to the location independent lifestyle, being full-time remote workers and digital nomads.
It’s a future that is dictated by remote work — from the places we travel to adapting to the idea of tourists may actually be remote workers and to the trips that we are taking. They are transforming into more long-term stays allowing us to travel slow and calling various Airbnbs, your home for a couple of months at a time.
More than ever, people are working remotely from all over the world, whether that be from a laptop-friendly cafe, from home, or a local co-working space; the options are endless. The remote world of work has brought us all closer to the goals we always had, the places we wanted to see and the friends and family we wanted to visit.
Working a remote 9–5 or building your freelance career has never been more accessible than now.
With everything that we do being online, research suggests that there is a focal point on what work is getting done, rather than where or when it’s being done. There will always be new ways of working and as always, over time we learn to adapt; however, with the flexibility of remote working, we’re able to choose what we do for work, the hours we work, where we work from, and what projects we work on — rather than spending hours commuting into an office and attending meetings we really don’t need to be in.
It’s time for you to shape your own future, rather than let your future shape you.
What are you waiting for?
Your time is now, take the leap to remote working!
