The foundation of racism, hatred, and discrimination is ignorance. Human nature will always be competitive, but if you take a moment to ponder the benefit of racism, the only logical answer I can think of is greed. We all know how it eventually turns out for greedy people. Being a racist is cretinous and a waste of time and energy. Racism shows just how close-minded, selfish, and uneducated a person is.

Questions To Ask Yourself

  • Do you really want to spend the rest of your life being prejudiced and discriminate against another human being based on the color of their skin?
  • For religious folks, how do you think you will feel about judgement day knowing that you judged human beings based on the color of their skin?
  • How will racism improve your life in the long term outside of greed?

Hatred often finds a way to physically manifest itself in its host in some form.

Be mindful of the negative effects that come along with being racist; some of the effects include:

  • Diminishing the meaning and purpose of your life.
  • F*cking up your karma and good fortune for you and future generations.
  • Eradicating your peace of mind.
  • Limiting your life experience.

Hatred never sits still. It only itches for fuel to feed its unquenchable and irrational thirst. Don’t allow yourself to become prey to hatred and racism any longer. It doesn’t serve anyone — including yourself.

Question of the day: What good has come from racism?

Why Do People Struggle With Racism?

Maybe you don’t know why you’re racist. Maybe you’re racist because your parents taught you to be racist. Maybe you’re a racist because society taught you to be a racist. Maybe you’re a racist because you refuse to educate yourself on issues that affect people who don’t look like you. Maybe you’re racist because you had a negative experience with a person of color. Maybe you’re racist because you’re used to hearing about people of color in the news. Maybe you’re racist because it’s profitable and beneficial for you. There are plenty of reasons to be racist, but it doesn’t make it okay.

Where Does Racism Begin?

Racism usually starts from the nuclear family unit. So if you’re racist, most likely, your family is racist in some shape or form. Maybe not openly, but subliminally; this is why I always suggest people: question everything because who you are is often someone else. For example, I remember one of my friends told me she couldn’t bring a Black boy home to her parents, but any other race was fine; that’s a huge problem, and to make it even worse this was a Christian family. Side Note: I’ve learned to not hold Christians to higher standards than non-Christians, which is for another conversation/article.

A Short Letter To Everyone

I will never hate any race of people. Everyone is equal. I know human nature is inclined to compete against one another, but that’s the difference between animals and us: we have our minds, and when we use our minds in rational, kind, and useful ways, the world is made to be a better place for everyone.

Here Are Your Next Steps

I’ve compiled a list of articles that dive into the Black experience in some form and on some level. Hopefully, you can find value, meaning, enlightenment, positive energy, invaluable information, and healing in these reads if you struggle with racism, discrimination, or prejudice against people who don’t look like you or are different from you.
