Guest Prompt Week 4, Day 1: Chigozirim Sophia Emeka
Prompt + short interview

Who else instantly thinks of Brene Brown when they hear the word “vulnerability”? Raise your hands.🙌 I discovered her a few years ago, when I came across a Youtube video of Russell Brand interviewing her. I worked through many of the worksheets on her website and slowly but surely started to become a little more comfortable with the idea of being vulnerable. I love reflecting on this topic and, if you do too, it’s your lucky day! Chigozirim Sophia Emeka prepared a brilliant prompt for us:
“To what extent can we place our self-fixated spirit in a state of vulnerability?”
Damn, girl! I don’t know, but I will surely take some time to delve deep into this question. But first, let’s find out what sparked the inspiration for this prompt:
“While on vacation, a friend and I yielded to the words of her five years old child, which sounded weird. But then we did just as he has spoken, irrespective of whether he is making sense of not. Fortunately, his words saved us from disaster.”
Children are the best source of wisdom, there’s no doubt about that. Thank you Chigozirim Sophia Emeka for reminding us of this truth. 💛
I am looking forward to everyone’s submissions! Don’t forget to stay tuned for Wednesday’s and Friday’s prompt.
