Glitz ’n’ Glamour
A tribute to ‘The Roaring Twenties’, an era of unparalleled glamour

The smell of smoke filled the air, There was glamour and sparkle everywhere, Golden jewels draped from above, The dance floor swung with young love. The promise of a golden age, A sultry voice came from a stage, Cocktails sipped and cigars lit, Nothing could ever beat the glitz. Of the art deco and flapper fashion, The Prohibition and Female Passion, Women driving cars and living fancy-free, Drinking whiskey in a Speak Easy Doing the Charleston, watching Charlie Chaplin In the 1920’s, it was all happening. Such a time of liberation, Has never again filled the nation. The glitz and glamour of the day, How I wish it could have stayed.
I once dressed up as a flapper for a friend’s 21st Great Gatsby-themed party. I just love the sparkle and glam of it all. Do you have a particular decade or period you find fascinating?
