The Roommate

An introspective little story that was inspired by my mental health and my self-image.

Photo made on Canvas using magic media for Jessica’s Quill.

Let me tell you about my roommate. She’s a mess, practically walking chaos. Her attempts at cleaning up after herself are less than impressive. My roommate is somewhat anti-social, keeps to herself, and always has her nose in a book. She is very rude; she usually has a mean remark for me at least once a day. This roommate of mine doesn’t contribute in any way, she’s just there. I wish I could kick her out. However, you can’t exactly evict your own reflection, can you?

Sometimes your inner voice can be your own worst enemy, can’t it? She’s like a disapproving mother or a school bully, well in my head that’s what she’s like on her bad days. Do you even struggle with your inner thoughts?
