Euphoria on Mother’s Day
Tributes to lovely mothers who teach their children to feel euphoric moments despite their challenges in life

Dear Reader,
This is my first poem on this platform, inspired by my dear friends and subscribers. I have read countless poems from books of outstanding poets and those submitted to my publications by aspiring poets.
I keep my poetry writing private as my poems represent my deep emotions and sensations. Maybe one day, when I find the courage, I will turn them into a book and share them with my readers.
But today, I made an exception to share a piece touching a subject close to my heart. It is about my euphoric moments. As expressed in a previous post, thanks to lovely Loreen, I had a few such moments earlier today.
Many thanks to friends and subscribers for encouraging and allowing me to express my feelings on this special day. I hope you enjoy the messages in this humble poem.
A Symphony of Euphoria
Honoring the Beauty of Motherhood and a Journey of Spiritual Awakening and Joy
When I close my eyes and breathe in deep
I get a sensation that makes my heart leap.
Euphoria, a state of pure joy and bliss,
A feeling that nothing in this world can miss.

Like a mother’s love, Euphoria’s embrace
Covers me in warmth and grace.
A symphony of life, a lullaby of love
Guiding me to have wings and rise above.

Euphoria makes a connection between the soul and the mind,
An intense sensation of oneness that is hard to find.
Similar to a symphony playing anywhere,
Euphoria is a melody I share.

Euphoria is peace bringing us together,
A bond that lasts forever and ever.
It is a magic that ignites my passion,
A spark that sets my soul in motion.

Euphoria is a voyage of discovery,
A path that leads to harmony.
It’s the rhythm of our beating hearts,
A joyful dance that never ends or departs.

It’s my laughter echoing through the day and night,
A joy that fills my soul with light.
Euphoria is the warmth of the sun,
A feeling reflected by stars that run.

Euphoria is the science of the mind and body,
A splendor that makes me happy.
It’s the art that keeps me warm in the cold,
A feeling that never grows old.

Euphoria is the unity of our being,
A connection that sets hearts to sing.
It’s the feeling of love and grace,
A presence that we must embrace.

So let us take a moment and breathe,
And feel the euphoria that we need.
For at this moment, we are all one,
A strong bond that will never come undone.

Decoder to Clarify Intended Meaning
Readers give their meanings, but I always enjoy poets adding decoders as they allow me to compare my feelings with the author's intention.
In this poem, I start by introducing the feeling of euphoria. It is a state of intense happiness, excitement, bliss, and pure joy. Different things, like music, art, nature, science, the cosmos, and human connections, might trigger this unique feeling.
I highlight that this feeling is not just a fleeting emotion. It might have a deeper meaning and impact on our lives.
I draw a parallel between euphoria and a mother’s love. Euphoria provides comfort, warmth, and guidance like a mother's embrace, leading us to find our strength and soar above life’s challenges.
The imagery of a symphony and lullaby strengthens the idea of euphoria as a power that embraces and nurtures us, similar to motherly love.
The metaphor, a spark, represents the initial feeling of euphoria. This spark might be tiny at first. However, it has the potential to grow bigger and more powerful. This represents the idea that even a small moment of joy can significantly impact our lives.
Then I discuss the connection between spirituality and euphoria. This feeling is not just a physical sensation. It can also have a spiritual component. Euphoria can be a way to connect with something greater than our identity.
The next section of the poem focuses on the scientific aspects of euphoria. It is about how the brain releases dopamine associated with pleasure and reward when we experience euphoria. So, this intense feeling might positively impact our physical, cognitive, emotional, and mental health.
I highlight the importance of unity and social connections in experiencing euphoria. This feeling is not just an individual experience. It can be shared and amplified through meaningful connections with others.
The line “the rhythm of our beating hearts” represents the idea that euphoria can bring people together meaningfully, as in social gatherings like concerts and celebrations.
The final section of this piece explains the idea of nature and mindfulness as a source of euphoria. Being in nature mindfully might be a powerful way to connect with the world and the cosmos and experience awe and wonder.
Euphoria is a beautiful emotion that uplifts our spirit and gives us life satisfaction. Unfortunately, Euphoria in popular media is unfairly associated with man-made and recreational drugs.
I want to erase this perception in my writing. Those drugs create temporary euphoric moments but are not sustainable and harmful to our physical and mental health.
There are much better options, as I discussed and explained in a recent story:
Feeling euphoria is a natural and healthy emotional response that can significantly improve the overall quality of life. It is hard to overdose euphoria with these natural habits. However, like most good things in life, it is crucial to find a balance.
Disproportionate euphoria can have side effects, such as addiction, and it can also lead to a lack of motivation and focus when dopamine levels go above the threshold. It is essential to be aware of these potential side effects and to take steps to mitigate them.
I see euphoria as a tool to improve our mental health, as I explained in a previous story. I also documented my unique experience explaining five natural ways to feel euphoria anytime and anywhere at your will.
From my experience, the best way to initiate euphoria is to let go of our worries, judgments, unpleasant emotions, and unnecessary clutter in our lives. I explained the importance of letting go in a recent story leveraging the wisdom of a centenarian medical doctor, Gladys McGarey (MD).
I wrote this poem to explore different facets of euphoria, from the physical to the spiritual and individual to the collective. This unique feeling might add meaning to our lives and connect us to something greater than ourselves.
I hope you enjoy my poem.
I wish you all a happy Mother’s Day.
Earlier, I wrote a piece highlighting the importance of Euphoria inspired by the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. I link the story here if you might be interested in this contest and enjoy the songs I linked and my interpretation of them.
Thank you for reading my perspectives. I wish you a healthy and happy life.
