For my ideal answer, I will not say yesterday, despite the importance of learning from our mistakes and cherishing good memories.
and not the future, although we always need to plan and be prepared. I learned from life that the best place is where you are right now on that bridge between yesterday and tomorrow. When you are in the “ here and now,” you grasp things better and live your life better. I read once that we need to be at least 95% in the present, 4% to plan tomorrow, and 1% to think and learn from the mistakes of yesterday. Is this the best formula? I don't know, although I find myself, especially in difficult times, jumping to the bank of yesterday, where the aroma of melancholy prevails, or the opposite bank of the future, where the plants of hopes and fears grow.
2. Prose or poetry, and why?
What attracts me to any text, regardless of its nature, is its words and the power of those words. I cannot deny that I like poetry and its rhythm, as well as the ability to express thoughts and ideas with very concentrated words.
3. When you are into reading, are you into science or literature? and why?
I have two degrees in science ( biology and pharmacy), and I worked in Pharma and FMCG businesses where science articles are very important. Despite all those facts, when I read for joy, I read purely literary works.
By the way, on the platform of Skillshare, I posted a year ago a course about reading. You can check it out here
4. In love, do you prefer a red rose or a gift, and why?
I like gifts a lot but I still prefer a red rose. It has the divine power to tell thousands of words and express all the hidden feelings that are usually stuck somewhere in the heart.
5. If you can choose, is it for you to climb summits or deep dive in the ocean, and why?
I have a serious phobia of water, so deep diving is not an option for me, although I use the expression deep dive all the time. Climbing a summit seems more doable and achievable. I dream of climbing Kilimanjaro one day…
6. If the day is 25 hours long, how would you like to spend the extra time? with friends and family or by yourself, and why?
Surely for me. We need to always allocate time for ourselves to think, meditate, and reflect. Without this time we will not be able to flourish in the rest of the times.
7. Capuccino or hot chocolate, and why?
Hot chocolate is a flavor of childhood, home country, and farewell
In the last 4–5 years, I started to cut my sugar intake drastically. The poor Hot chocolate big mugs were the first victims of this decision. Though I miss their sweet presence at my table, decreasing my sugar intake was an achievement like climbing a mountain summit.
8. Normal reading or fast reading? and why?
A normal reading for joy and a fast reading for everything else!
9. New or classic novels? and why?
I like both, regardless of the label. Some novels are worthy of being read over and over. I search for beautiful words and interesting themes.
10. We all change with time, Which version of yourself do you like most, and why?
The version of today is the result of all the versions of the past.
