“Instead of asking life to give you, ask what you can offer to life. Be an act of kindness, and life will reward you with abundance.” ― Anoir Ou-Chad

Inspired by a bit of garden wandering today and noticing that our rhubarb is beginning to grow, I decided to make rhubarb bread with some stored away in the freezer from last year.

Indeed it is beautiful to have a bit of something sweet to offer others as a gift from your heart. It does not have to be laden with sugar or honey to be a present of pure sweetness.

What we offer from a pure spirit is the sweetest thing we can give to another human being.

As my feet touched the Earth, I thought of everyone I love. Some of them are more challenging than others, but they all deserve a place in my heart. In these quiet moments, we contemplate what really matters.

It is not to be right, but to be loving.

An image came to my mind. I can build a bridge of flowers and light, just like the blooms of spring all around me.

There are those I love with all my heart who can be difficult. If I let go, I can see the path ahead. Traveling outside of my comfort zone and forge ahead to rebuild a relationship.

I have changed vastly over the past two years, yet my soul is essentially the same. Meeting in the middle where our eyes can see clearly and the energy is pure.

As we all tread lightly along the path to this bridge, we may stumble at times. During these moments, we can remember our strength. It is loving to have boundaries but still reach out.

When I reach the middle, I shall outstretch my arms in gratitude, knowing I can bridge the gap with a smile.

My way of communicating is quiet and subtle, preferring the written word. Theirs differ, wanting to hear a voice. I can now speak the words once stuck within the depths of my mind, becoming freer with each passing moment.

I am strong, knowing my truth, but willing to listen to another.

The planks at the middle of the bridge sustain us all, made of light; they cannot shatter. Let us find a way to be at peace.

A Loving Note From Trista Signe Ainsworth

Dear Lovely Readers,

I wish you all a beautiful week full of light and love. With all of your prayers, love, and light, my son is doing well.

Today he took his walker outside and was able to enjoy the fresh spring air and hop a few steps. It is slow-going, but he is so patient with himself. It brings us great joy to see him growing and learning through the hardships.

This is what life is about. Rising to the challenge with love in your heart.

Challenges in life are your teachers. People who challenge you are the same. I view them as my grand professors.

Recently, I reached another choicepoint in my life. With some quiet moments in the garden, I journaled about some close relationships made difficult by our vastly different views on life.

However rocky it may be, I must traverse this path.

Even though through this time I have written my thoughts to them, it is time to take the leap onto a phone call. I can be strong and kind at the same time. Time by myself has given me the gift of love in my heart.

It is time for the silence to be broken and for peace to take hold. It does not mean boundaries cannot stay in place, it only signifies reaching out in love.

There is a time when you learn to make your heart steady so that you and everyone around you can heal.

Today (Sunday) I was able to see and speak to a dear family member I also consider a friend. She will help me build this bridge and together we will create a calming place to come together. I feel so blessed today and wanted to pass on this energy of love and attention to the present moment to all of you.

My wish for you today is to reach out with love and light even if you cannot agree. We must create our own peace if we want to see it in the world.
