A Poem to My Young Daughter
Glittering with love

I wished from the heights of a place most sublime, the vision of you that danced outside of my being.
A knowing that I know you. A feeling that you believe me. A rush of glow when you appeared.
Every cup fills to the brim with who you are; uncontained joy splashing the walls of our hearts. Your ability to understand in untaught ways, seeing, feeling, hearing, what most of us don’t.
You came here to show us another way to see. You came here to show us another way to be.
Open arms embracing every moment; becoming the pink in your imagination, wearing the dirt of your blooming mind, creating your dreams from cardboard boxes one brilliant idea at a time.
Growing taller, reaching branches now, and throwing paper airplanes right into the clouds. Learning to bridge disappointment with hope that others will be kind and listen with joy as you do.
That they will see moments in time like bubbles crystallized with rainbows from another place; gifts only borrowed.
Sometimes vessels are sent to us with sacred messages. And liquid light pours forth spilling into every crevice for all to be touched by it.
Beauty is born from the fringe of nuances; an indigo crystal in the center of green ones.
When elk arrive, you call out, beckoning them to understand your language. They listen and call back, “We hear your message and you speak the truth.”
To live is to be the spirited wish; the fulfillment of who you are and the chalice of our love.
I am here because you were meant to be here, to help the world lean into the vibrancy of being — to help them believe in the wings of extraordinary souls.
You are my lovely daughter, my wish come true. — KALM☁️
