Love may not be in the stars for these signs

Astrology enthusiasts typically turn to the stars when looking for love and according to a study commissioned by Diamondère, 42 percent of the 2,000 respondents said they consult their horoscopes to find out if they are compatible with a potential partner.

However, they don’t allow the stars to do all of their thinking for them — they also let experience be their guide. When it comes to the zodiac signs that respondents said they would never date again, Gemini was the top choice at 42 percent. Other signs that were considered the least datable were Cancer (37 percent), Taurus (36 percent), Aries (34 percent), and Leo (31 percent).

“Horoscopes play such an important part in our daily lives since they are a guiding force in good times and in bad.”

When couples do manage to successfully get together after being matched by the stars, their reliance on astrology does not end with mate selection. In a different study commissioned by Angara.com, 20 percent of participants said they would potentially plan a pregnancy in order to ensure that their child is a specific astrological sign.

“Horoscopes play such an important part in our daily lives since they are a guiding force in good times and in bad,” said Angara.com CEO Ankur Daga. “People turn to astrology to give them answers that they can’t find anywhere else — and part of that is because it comes from within.”

On the other hand, if you think all of this astrology stuff is bullshit, you may still want to use a potential partner’s sign as a guide on who to date. According to the Angara survey, the following signs are the ones you may want to avoid, as they are most likely to believe in astrology.

  • Taurus (63%)
  • Gemini (59%)
  • Aquarius (58%)
  • Aries (56%)
  • Pieces (56%)
  • Virgo (56%)
