Ubisoft Said “If You Don’t Login to Your Account Regularly, You Could Lose Your Games”
Users can lose access to their games if they don’t log in to their Ubisoft account for long enough.

What is Ubisoft?
So, Ubisoft is pretty much a big deal in the gaming world. They’re one of those major players that have been around for quite some time, and they’ve made a name for themselves in the industry. If you’re into video games, chances are you’ve heard of them.
Okay, picture this: it’s the mid-80s, and some guys in France decide to start a gaming company. That’s how Ubisoft was born back in 1986. Fast forward a few years, and they’re cranking out hit after hit. From platformers to action-adventures, they’ve been churning out games that have captured the hearts of players worldwide.
But what sets them apart from other gaming giants? Well, one thing is their diverse range of titles. They don’t stick to just one genre; they like to explore all kinds of gaming experiences. Whether you’re into stealthy assassinations in Assassin’s Creed, crazy antics in Rabbids, or tactical shooting in Rainbow Six Siege, there’s something for everyone.
Now, it’s not just about the games; it’s also about the way they approach game development. Ubisoft has a unique approach that involves its development studios located all over the globe. They encourage creativity and give their teams the freedom to come up with innovative ideas. This has led to some pretty awesome and memorable games.
Oh, and let’s not forget about the annual E3 conferences. Gamers wait with bated breath to see what Ubisoft has in store for them each year. The hype is real, and they often deliver big surprises and exciting reveals during these events.
Beyond just games, Ubisoft has also dipped its toes into other forms of entertainment. They’ve ventured into movies and TV series based on their popular franchises, trying to bring those game worlds to life in new ways.
But at the end of the day, what really makes Ubisoft special is the passionate community they’ve built around their games. Gamers from all walks of life come together to share their love for these virtual worlds. And Ubisoft, being the cool cats they are, actively listen to their fans and take their feedback seriously.
Ubisoft is deleting inactive accounts?
So, there’s been a bit of a commotion about a recent email received by an unsuspecting Ubisoft account holder. Apparently, if you don’t log in to your Ubisoft account regularly, they might just snatch away all your purchased games!
That’s not cool, especially for those who are eyeing the eight games they’ve got lined up for the next year. This move is leaving some gamers rethinking their decision to support them.
You know, Ubisoft has this love-hate thing going on with gamers. They’ve got some killer franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, but their formulaic style of gameplay has worn thin for many. Climbing towers and clearing checkpoints in open-world games?
Yeah, players are getting tired of that. But it seems like Ubisoft might be listening a bit, as they’re toning down some of these repetitive features in upcoming games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The whole thing kicked off when the AntiDRM Twitter account posted about Ubisoft’s policy. Apparently, some users got emails saying their accounts were temporarily suspended and could be closed forever if they don’t log in within 30 days.
That sounds harsh, right? Well, Ubisoft Support chimed in, trying to soften the blow, saying they don’t want gamers to lose their stuff, but they gotta sign in to avoid the axe.
Twitter wasn’t too thrilled with that response. People rightly pointed out that if Ubisoft really cared, they wouldn’t have this system in the first place. And it seems like this policy might even be illegal in France, where Ubisoft is from. Oops, they might’ve messed up big time.
Some people think Ubisoft is just pushing this so they can push their Ubisoft+ subscription service. Sneaky, right? If you’re subscribed, they might cut you some slack. But honestly, this whole situation is making Ubisoft look out of touch with their customers.
Final Words
I’m curious to see if Ubisoft will backtrack on this one. Right now, they’re making some questionable moves with DRM and even embracing blockchain-based games despite what gamers think.
They better shape up if they want to keep their fans happy and on their side.
