DRABBLE STORY ARC #4: Boundless Luck
Trailing the Plotters
A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — drabble edition!

This is a continuation of Boundless Luck, a Choose Your Own Adventure Story (drabble edition) started by Bradan Writes Stories. Find out how to contribute here, or return to the previous chapter: ‘Words Overheard’ by JF Danskin.
You give the sketchy gnome and wizard some minutes to move on, then exit your tent to follow. The tent itself disappears in a puff of logic.
Ahead, the mountainous landscape is rougher than you recall. Badlands. There are red clouds of dust in the air. You pass through a rock formation that looks like exactly like a monstrous dragon, frozen solid. There’s a pond nearby, but the water is acidic and choking.
Ahead: some trees. You hurry on, hoping for safety. But there is a snarling, and you hear thundering paws.
Heart thumping, you crouch behind the largest tree.
Next, you:

- Wait in perfect silence until the creature has gone, and then carry on into the mountains on foot (click here).
