Tom Holland Has Some Conditions Before Doing the Fourth Spider-Man Movie
Marvel Studios is apparently currently working on Spider-Man 4.

In some past stories, I’ve talked about all sorts of Spider-Man stuff. You can find those linked at the end of this post. But right now, I’m diving into what Tom Holland needs before he signs up for the next Spider-Man movie.
Since 2016, Holland’s been our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He started in Captain America: Civil War, then headlined his Spider-Man flicks like Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), and the mind-bending No Way Home (2021).
He even popped up in Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019). Despite knocking it out of the park as Peter Parker, there’s no official word on Spider-Man 4 yet. Holland’s chill, but he’s got conditions if he’s coming back.
In a sit-down with Collider, the 27-year-old spilled the beans on his Spidey future. He’s deep in talks about what Spider-Man 4 might look like. But hold up — his main thing? Doing justice to the character he holds dear. He’s super protective of Spidey, noting how each movie topped the last and wanted to keep that streak alive.
“I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy.
So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.”
Holland made it crystal clear: If they can crack the code on his terms, he’s slipping back into that iconic Spidey suit. He’s indebted to Spider-Man, everything he’s about. Plus, he’s tight with the crew and loves the gig. So, if they can cook up the right story, count him in.
“If we can figure that out, I would be a fool not to put the suit back on again because I owe everything to Spider-Man. I love the character and the people I get to work with.
So, I would love to tell another story, but I’ll only tell it if we can find the right one.”
No shocker there, really. Holland’s not everyone’s go-to Spider-Man, but he’s got a whole squad of younger fans digging his take on Peter Parker. It’s no wonder he’s guarding that legacy tight. And after the home run that was No Way Home, fans are itching to know if he’ll web-sling again.
But Holland’s been clear from day one: he’s up for it only if the script rocks and takes the franchise to new heights. In a past chat, he made it clear that he’s down to reprise his role, but only if it levels up the story.
Final Words
Spider-Man 4 wasn’t exactly in Holland’s original Spidey plan. His deal was for a trilogy, so coming back for a fourth flick? That’s like hitting the jackpot for him.
But here’s the snag — his fate as Spidey hangs in the air ’cause he’s got this one condition. It’s been a cool two years since we saw him slinging webs, and with no filming dates on the radar, the wait for Spider-Man 4 might be longer than any die-hard fan’s ready for.
