The Specs of the Nothing Phone (2) Might Have Just Been Leaked
Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, may have just leaked some information on the Nothing Phone (2).

In some of my previous posts, I’ve talked about a bunch of different smartphones, including this cool one called the Nothing Phone. I’ll put the links to those posts at the end so you can check them out.
But right now, I wanna dive into the Nothing Phone (2) and spill the tea on all the juicy leaked specs. Let’s get into it!
What we already knew about the Nothing Phone (2)
So, Pei just spilled the beans in an interview with Inverse. Get ready, ’cause Phone (2) is gonna hit the market soon, probably later this year. He basically said that his previous tweet was all about how important it is to launch products steadily and keep ’em updated with software stuff.
Guess what? They changed their plans because Nothing Phone got a kickass response in the US market. At first, the phone wasn’t even available there, but after a super successful beta launch, Nothing decided to launch the new device in the US right from the get-go. Pei thinks not launching in the US would mean losing out on a huge chunk of sales.
Pei didn’t give away much about Phone (2). He just called it a “premium” smartphone without explicitly calling it their flagship, so it doesn’t take away the shine from the original Nothing Phone.
Now, here’s where things get juicy. We’re guessing Nothing might be cooking up something to rival fancy Android phones like the Google Pixel 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Yep, they’re going big.
Right now, Nothing Phone is one of the best budget phones out there, but it can’t really match up to the specs of pricier phones.
Phone (2) is set to hit the shelves by the end of 2023, and you know what that means — more info, leaks, and rumors coming our way throughout the year. Exciting times are ahead!
What was leaked recently?
Nothing’s upcoming release is generating a lot of hype. The Nothing Phone (2) is set to launch on July 11th, and it’s their second-generation handset. It’ll join the Nothing Ear (2) in the second generation and will be even better than the first Nothing Phone.
Nothing has already given us some details about the phone. We know it will have an older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a slightly larger display.
Now, the CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei, may have just spilled another secret about the new phone. He tweeted a screenshot of his device’s home screen, and people think it might be a sneak peek at Nothing OS 2.0, which is expected to debut on the phone.
But it also revealed something else — the front-facing camera might be placed in the center instead of the upper left corner like on the Phone (1).
Okay, it’s not the most exciting leak we’ve seen, but it does give us a better idea of what to expect from the new device.
It also gives us a glimpse of the new Nothing OS software. There’s not much to gather from it, though. Pei’s screenshot showed the home screen in dark mode, but a software designer for the brand mentioned a view in light mode.
Final Words
We only have about two weeks left until the phone is officially revealed, so the wait is almost over.
But it’s always a good idea to stay on the lookout for leaks in the weeks leading up to the big event.
