The Nitro Deck Apparently Solves the Nintendo Switch Stick Drift Issue

Nintendo Switch users may have an alternate solution to eliminate Joy-Con stick drift.

So, in my past stories, I’ve talked about a bunch of stuff about the Nintendo Switch. I’ll put the links to those at the end of this post.

But for now, let’s dive into this annoying stick drift problem and this cool new thing called the Nitro Deck.

Alright, so let me break it down for you. Stick drift on the Nintendo Switch is basically a common and frustrating issue that many users have encountered with their Joy-Con controllers. It refers to the problem where the analog sticks on the Joy-Con start moving or registering input on their own, even when you’re not touching them. It’s like having a ghost in your controller!

Stick drift can be a real annoyance during gameplay. Imagine you’re trying to play a game, and suddenly your character starts moving on its own or the camera starts panning without your control. It can seriously mess up your gaming experience and make it difficult to play with precision.

What is the Nitro Deck?

There’s this new company called CRKD that just came out with a cool accessory for the Nintendo Switch. It’s called the Nitro Deck and they say it can finally fix the annoying stick drift problem that a lot of Switch owners have been dealing with.

But now CRKD is trying to solve the problem with their Nitro Deck. They made a trailer to show it off, and it looks pretty sweet. The deck is designed to be comfortable to hold and it connects to the Switch with a USB-C cable for fast response times. They’re claiming that there will be absolutely no stick drift with this thing and that the control sticks will be super responsive and precise.

The trailer also mentioned that you can switch out the joystick tops to change the texture or add pads for better grip. Plus, there are some trigger buttons on the back that would be handy for first-person shooter games.

And get this, the Nitro Deck comes in different colors, including some based on old Nintendo consoles like the SNES and GameCube. They even have a couple of special editions in collaboration with Limited Run Games.

Now, here’s the price info: the base Nitro Deck costs $60, but if you want the nostalgia versions or the Limited Run editions, those will run you up to $90. You can actually pre-order it now, and they’re planning to start shipping around September 18, 2023.

This accessory seems perfect for Switch players who like to take their gaming on the go.
