Smartphones
The Next Samsung Galaxy Phone Might Look Similar to the iPhone
The Samsung Galaxy S24 is reportedly about to have a design change.
In a bunch of my earlier stories, I’ve chatted about all sorts of stuff about Samsung. You can find the links to those at the bottom of this post.
But right now, I wanna dive into the scoop on the new look that’s supposedly heading to Samsung’s top-notch smartphone.
Now, let’s talk about the stars of the show: the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ models. Word on the street is that they’re getting ready to make their grand debut alongside a spiffy new Ultra variant early next year. And what’s got tongues wagging is the buzz about a revamped case design that might ring a bell with iPhone aficionados.
According to the famed tipster Ice Universe, who seems to have his finger on the pulse of such matters, both the regular S24 models are gearing up to embrace a flat-edged frame. This move sounds eerily reminiscent of the iPhone 14 and Apple’s lineup from the past few years. Hold on to your hats because there’s more.
You see, the current cool kids on the block, the S23 models, kind of have this pseudo-flat thing going on with their sides — a sort of sneaky curve that’s pretending to be straight. But the whispers in the wind suggest that the S24 clan is about to go all-in with truly flat sides.
Yes, you read that right! That means no more bending the truth — just clean, crisp edges all around. And wait for it, the screen is joining the flat party too! It’s a clear sign that Samsung is bidding farewell to those curvy displays that used to rule the roost.
Now, the big reveal is expected to happen during a special unpacked event. Mark your calendars for February — before the Mobile World Congress shenanigans kick off in the vibrant city of Barcelona. The anticipation is real, folks!
Let’s talk camera talk, shall we? The talk of the town is that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is getting all fancy in the camera department. Rumor has it that it’s flaunting a four-sensor camera setup on its back, and if that pans out, it could potentially become the crème de la crème of smartphones.
Here’s the scoop: This bad boy might sport the same 200-megapixel main camera that wowed us in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. And that’s not all! Brace yourselves for a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel periscope lens. Now that’s a camera party we want an invite to!
Oh, and there’s more under the hood. This powerhouse might be juiced up by a spanking new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor or an Exynos 2400, depending on where you’re tuning in from. And don’t even get us started on that beefy 5,000mAh battery — it’s all about that 45W charging support.
Now, for the slightly less flashy siblings — the S24 and S24+. Sure, they might not be grabbing the spotlight as fiercely as their Ultra counterpart, but mark our words, they’re still contenders for the title of the finest Android phones of 2024.
