The “Ideal” System Requirements for The Upcoming Forza Motorsport Game Are Insane
Although you obviously won’t need these parts to just play the game, it’s still a little over the top.

In a bunch of my earlier posts, I’ve chatted about all sorts of stuff about Forza. You can find the links to those at the bottom here.
But for now, let’s dig into what Turn 10 spilled the beans on — the PC specs you’ll need to play their new Forza Motorsport game.
In January, Turn 10 dropped a bunch of impressive tech goodies for the upcoming Forza Motorsport game. They said they’d be adding a procedural cloud system that’s all fancy and using a gizmo called a spectrophotometer to nail that perfect car paint.
Oh, and hold onto your seats because they even got this hardware-accelerated convolution reverb thing that’s going to make the sounds in the game feel like they’re bouncing around a real space!
But, there was one crucial thing they forgot to mention back then: what kind of PC you’d need to actually experience all these mind-blowing features. Well, the good news is that they’ve finally spilled the beans on that front.
Turn 10 has unveiled the full scoop on what your gaming rig should look like to dive into Forza Motorsport’s awesomeness, plus a bunch of other cool tidbits to get excited about.
Now, brace yourselves, because the hardware requirements for the new Forza are quite the climb. The base specs are alright, leaning towards midrange, though the storage demand — 130GB of SSD space — might just pop your eyes out.
But let’s be real here, no one wants to play a cutting-edge game like Forza at the bare minimum settings (trust me, you really don’t). To truly immerse yourself, you’re going to need some heavy-duty hardware because the specs ramp up really quickly.
Here’s the full breakdown for your tech-savvy appetite:
Minimum (for low settings):
CPU: Intel i5–8400 2.8GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD RX 5500 XT (4GB)
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 130GB SSD
Recommended (for high settings):
CPU: Intel i5–11600k or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti (8GB) or AMD RX 6800 XT (8GB)
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 130GB SSD
Ideal (for ultra settings):
CPU: Intel i7–11700k or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4080 (16GB) or AMD RX 7900XT (16GB)
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 130GB NvME SSD
So, here’s the scoop: Forza Motorsport is set to zoom onto Steam starting October 10. But this has become a bit of a new tradition if you go big and grab the Forza Motorsport premium edition.
It bundles the main game, the Race Day Car Pack, the Car Pass, VIP Membership (it’s like a treasure trove of rewards and boosts, including a permanent 2x credits boost), and the Welcome Pack.
If you snag the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, you get a head start of five days. Yup, that’s right. You can start tearing up those virtual tracks on October 5 and leave everyone else eating your digital dust.
Final Words
So, gear up and get ready, because Forza Motorsport is revving its engines to bring you an experience that’s not just about racing, but about diving headfirst into the thrilling world of cutting-edge gaming tech.
Get your rigs primed and mark your calendars for the racing extravaganza that’s just around the corner!
