The fall is formally here, but flowers still stand, both in gardens and in the wild

Simple photos on my way from home to my workplace

It’s September 24th hence formally the fall in the Northern hemisphere. But it started with a quite sunny weather and temperatures reaching 20+ degrees Celsius in the basin of lake Geneva. Although some flowers are starting to wear off, many still stand in perfect shape.

Biking to work early in the morning allowed me to take some nice photos. Then I used Google’s Search-by-Image tool to assist identification… did you know about that tool? It’s pretty cool and handy -see the link at the end.

Trifolium pratense, or simply red clover. Photo by author Luciano Abriata.
A wild blackberry plant still hoping to fructify. The weird shapes in the petals are tiny water drops from the morning dew. Photo by author Luciano Abriata.
Poppies bloom in May, but this one somehow made it to late September. Photo by author Luciano Abriata.

I couldn’t identify this one… can you? Photo by author Luciano Abriata.
A ver interesting marigold -see the next shot. Of course I took seeds of this, to have it growing in my balcony next year! Photo by author Luciano Abriata.
