The Essential Official Guide To Writing Success On Illumination
Illuminating What It Takes To Succeed As A Writer On Illumination

As you read through this article, bear one thing in mind; myself and Tree Langdon, CPA, CGA, are fellow writers and co-editors of this article and we began our Illumination,Illumination-Curated,Technology Hits and Illumination Mirror journey just like you. Indeed, almost all who are involved in Illumination up to today, are relatively new to the project.
Nine months ago the Illumination publications didn't even exist!
They were created because of the visionary dreams and revolutionary determination of one man, Dr Mehmet Yildiz. Now they are positively flourishing and exponentially growing at an amazing rate every single day.
We now have over eighty five thousand readers and somewhere in the region of 8,500 writers! Think about that for a moment. That is nothing short of incredible.
Of course, as with any new groundbreaking enterprise, there was one heck of a learning curve for all involved. And this is especially true of this particular project, where the art of writing, editing, and publishing compelling articles, short stories, and poems are melded with the use of new technological advances. The mind boggles.
I have to say that one man who I feel duty-bound and compelled to mention is Ev Williams who had the idea for this wonderful Medium enterprise in the first place. That being said, let us move on with a series of articles written by the editors of Illumination to help you, as a writer, to make the most of what we have to offer.
We'll start at the beginning, which is always a good place to start. Below are four links to articles I have written after my own horrendous start on Medium. Happily, by working extremely hard at it I managed to turn horrendous to tremendous.
I wrote fifty articles and didn't take my eyes off the keyboard for four weeks. That was one very big mistake on my part. When I did finally spend some time looking at the screen, with the wonderful help of Danny Oak and Akos Peterbencze, I found to my horror that I had made every mistake in the book.
After that, I spent an entire week revising every single article, morning, noon, and night. It was at that point I thought, if only there had been some sort of resource for me to study, it would have saved me a lot of heartaches. From there, I progressed to thinking about writing that resource.
That resource is the article you are reading now.
Once you get past my humble writings to get you going, then you can move on to the writings of fellow editor Tree Langdon, CPA, CGA. Tree's articles go into a bit more detail as you progress. Then you can explore the more in-depth pieces by Dew Langrial and our visionary founder and leader Dr Mehmet Yildiz.
Dr Yildiz's articles make for excellent reading and information about the marketing aspect of writing with particular emphasis on how to get your articles published on Illumination-Curated and then posted onto Linkedin, Facebook, and Quora.
Dew Langrial’s article gives you an in-depth low-down on what it is we are looking for and how you should go about it.
From there I have introduced a little light relief, but no less informative, often very funny and sassy, offerings of the Legendary, Miss Cool Personified, Britni Pepper.
After Britni comes the straight-talking, ever-dependable, highly talented writer and fellow editor Joe Luca. Joe strikes me as the sort of person who pulls no punches. Having said that, I think he is a big pussycat with a heart of gold. You would do well to study his wonderfully informative writings.
At the very end of this resource article, you will find three final links to articles that introduce Dr Mehmet Yildiz, Tree Langdon, and my good self. They are there to help you to get to know a little more about who and what we are.
Personally, I would suggest you read and study every single piece, even if it takes you a week to do so. By doing that you will avoid spending four weeks like I did making one howler after another.
It’s a great investment of your time.
However, I invite you to read the articles for the pleasure and joy of it. My fellow writers and editors know how to write.
If you want to be a great football player, then you will watch and study people like Leo Messi or Ronaldo. The same with music, you will listen to Mozart or the Beatles. To do well you will listen to the best there is out there. And the same goes for writing on Illumination and Illumination-Curated.
I sincerely hope you gain a lot of insight reading these articles and go on to use them on your journey to becoming the best writer you can be.
So good luck and good writing. Hopefully, we will see some written masterpieces from you sometime soon. And who knows, maybe one day you too will become an editor as well for Illumination and Illumination-Curated as well.
Finally, even if you forget to save this article for later reference, it will always be easy to find under my profile. Good reading, good writing, and good luck.

Some straight-talk from our ever-dependable editor.
This compilation of helpful articles from some of our editors was created with the able assistance of the editors whose articles are presented here.
Although I‘ve written the introduction, I am deeply indebted to the editorship of Dr Mehmet Yildiz and Tree Langdon, CPA, CGA.
I am also deeply indebted to all of our other editors who, scattered around the planet as they are, have proven to be the most wonderful team of collaborators you could ever ask for. In the link below you can get to know more members of what I like to call The Amazing Team.
Of course, we would be nowhere without the ongoing support of all of our writers who entertain, inform, educate and enlighten us with their diversity of interests and opinions, their choice of subject matter, and most of all with their incredible writing abilities and talents.
The following article introduces many of our writers with links to their personal self- introductions. We urge you to have a read and then set about writing your very own bio as you continue on your writer's journey here on Illumination.
The article immediately below is an interview with our visionary founder and leader, Dr Mehmet Yildiz. It is an interview in which the reader can get to know a little of his interesting background.
This is a short bio of my good self in which I tell you a little about myself, who, what, and where I am, and a little of what makes me tick.
And finally, a short bio of Tree Langdon, the editor for this article as well as a fellow writer and highly respected member of the editorial team.
