Supergreens — What Are They
Are they healthy?
I have recently started to take super greens; my wife and I saw an advert on Facebook from a celebrity that we both like, she has her own range, and it intrigued us both.
Many of you will not know that I used to run my own nutrition business many years ago, and I used to sell this type of product; however, I never took it myself.
I know there are significant claims about super greens and many benefits to you taking them; however, I also know that people react differently depending on their "makeup", so this re-ignited my interest.
We all know how important it is to eat fruit and vegetables, and have now moved from five a day to seven a day; well, super greens are a good source and will contribute towards that goal.
Most adults that I know are falling way short of the recommended daily intake, which could lead to health problems, so my wife and I decided to give them a go.
Now everyone's taste buds are different, but wow, they have such a horrible taste, we ended up laughing at each other consuming green powders with water, yuk!
I chickened out at that point; my wife tried it on her cereals and said it was better, a few days went by, and I gave it a go; yes, you guessed it, my cereals ended up in the bin.
However, I knew that I needed to find a way to consume these greens; my wife was already saying that her digestive system was better after only five days of use.
She went on to tell me that her skin felt better, she was more regular on the toilet and that she did not feel tired waking up and started to drink less caffeine.
Now, I drink a lot of coffee, I am a bean to cup man and have my own Delonghi coffee machine at home, which I love and tend to drink 5–6 a day, so if these super greens helped me to reduce my coffee intake, then, it might be worth pushing through this taste issue I had.

I decided to try it with orange juice; although it did not mix that well, it certainly took 80% of the taste away and that I can live with, so I kind of enjoy my super green and orange juice every morning.
I can honestly say that it has made a significant impact on my life; I am now down to just two coffees a day and feel a lot better myself; I also think it has helped with a bit of weight loss, which is always a plus.
