I Dated My Girlfriends Sister

It was never a secret

I must have been around eighteen or nineteen years of age at the time; I was out in a nightclub with some of my friends, it was called “Rityz’s”, and I worked there four nights a week.

The vibe was great, and the music was bouncing as I took to the dance floor to show off some of my slick moves; in reality, I probably looked like a monkey on ice, mind you!

I was arrogant/confident back then, so if people laughed, I just assumed I was entertaining them and kept going; I felt bulletproof in every aspect.

At the time, I was into my bodybuilding, so my arms were pumped, and my abs were chiselled, just like a friend of mine below “Ryan” in the photo of us both below.

Me and Ryan

There were a flock of girls dancing around my friends and me, we were all loving it, and the drinks were flowing (not for me at the time as I did not drink.)

A few girls bumped into me (on purpose) then apologised, flicking their hair and smiling, giving me “the eye” that they were interested in, the night went well, and I took a girl’s number “, Susan”.

Susan and I dated for around three months when she asked me a question out of the blue, “Robert, I want you to meet my family” I was a bit shocked; for me, this was a casual thing, but obviously not for her.

I was unsure about this; however, she was cute, and things were going well, so I thought, F**k it, let’s give it a shot. Susan and I talked about our ex’s, something I hated talking about because the past is the past, and it only brings out insecurities.

It appeared that after that conversation took place, we did not really know each other’s ex’s, which, if I am honest, I was a bit relieved about.

I decided that I should make a bit of an effort and ask if I could buy her parents something when I came over; Susan agreed it was a good idea and mentioned that her sister would be their “Sian”.

She had never mentioned her sister before, so this was a surprise to me; she said that Sian was “pretty” and that I would “like her” I tried to reassure Susan that it would all be ok.

The big night came, and I turned up with a bottle of wine and a bunch of flowers for her parents, and I brought a “friendship” teddy for her sister, which was popular at the time.

It started reasonably well; however, her sister was running late, her father was distant but polite, and her mother, I felt, was a bit flirty, but hay! I was in my prime and not complaining.

Then, carnage started to unfold; Sian walked in and immediately looked at me, “what the hell is he doing here?” she asked, “this is Robert, Susan’s new boyfriend.”

I was like a rabbit in headlights; I had dated Sian about nine months before I met Susan, I thought we ended on decent terms, but Sian had a different story.

Her dad demanded to know more about my relationship with his daughters; in my defence, I did not think they were sisters, although thinking back, their bodies were similar, I guess 😆.

I don’t think we actually got to eat any food as Sian stormed off; her mother followed, and Susan asked to have a “quiet word” with me, then promptly told me to leave and she would call me in a few days.

That call never occurred, and I decided to “let sleeping dogs lie”.

Have you ever been in a similar experience? What happened, and did you move on from it?
