
SPRING REPORT WEEK 5
So many species of wildflowers coexisting as the spring begins!
Pass and see some commented shots of each.

Fields of wild colors
This one just bloomed everywhere right this week, creating magenta carpets as featured in the lead photo:

There are some pink and white specimens too:

Next, two of the subjects of my stories where I used a magnifying glass to better shoot small flowers, but now their families have taken over their territories!

Violet again

These next violet wildflowers are the early spring stars along a walk that I previously reported in summer when it all looks different:
Here’s the early spring gem of the region:

Most plants give violet flowers, but some look rather pink/purple:

More purple wildflowers, in this case growing in-between rocks with great exposure to sun:

And even more violet…

And to end this section a surprise: here’s another flower (vinca) that is almost always violet but preferred to bloom pinker this time:

Some yellow, too


The flowers of this clover-like plant are tiny. This is the best I could get:
