Overcoming Fear: Uncover the Truth and Embrace Uncertainty for a Fulfilling Life
Unveiling the Illusion of Control
Fear, that enigmatic shadow that stealthily thwarts our potential, will no longer be the puppeteer of our aspirations. Prepare to unravel the enigma as we venture into the heart of fear, unearthing its roots and unveiling the keys to its defeat.
The Two Facs of Fear:
- Fear of losing control — Fear of things not happening in the way you wanted
- Fear of uncertainty — Projecting into the future something unpleasant or threatening

Why do we love control?
We love to control everything everywhere:
- We love it when our boss agrees to us or when we are our own boss, our team follows us, our readers like and appreciate us
- We savor the reins of restrictions, whether it’s acquiring the desired gadget or embarking on impromptu vacations.
- We cherish our influence over our children’s actions, demanding obedience to our every word
- We love when every person around us admire us, world around us acknowledge and appreciate things we do
- We love when our sex partner understands us and does whatever we want her/him to do, meeting our desires
- We embrace the allure of life aligning with our wishes, when every endeavor falls seamlessly into place
The fear of losing control often stems from our innate desire to dictate outcomes. This fear becomes palpable when things don’t go as planned, leaving us grappling for control in an unpredictable world.
We are entangled in a sense of mine, my way, my idea, my thought process, my greatness — which only you are aware and know one seems to know about.
Any deviation from above, starts troubling us. Fear of this deviation is fear of losing control.
Control is an Illusion. Only Efforts lie in Your Grasp. Embrace this wisdom early, fortifying your courage to confront the world boldly.
The essence above is evident, and if one casts aside their ego and reflects, clarity will illuminate the matter.
So, next time YOU:
- do your best but your boss treats you like a Failure, do not take it to heart
- lose a game, wake up your sportsman’s spirit
- encounter financial setbacks, remember that some outcomes are beyond your control
As my favourite quote goes:
Gatam Gatam🤘Past is Past
Why fear of uncertainty?
Fear of not being able to gain control is also fear of uncertainty.
You look everything through your experience of the past. You frame things in your mind based on your past experiences:
- This tennis player appears highly skilled; defeating them seems beyond my reach
- My boss is more learned and infringed than me, may be my understanding of the concept is wrong and hence I shouldn’t correct her statement
- A decade ago, he triumphed over me in this sport effortlessly, even without practice. Now, with extensive practice, he could easily conquer me once again
- Look up to someone, and consider that person above me in a particular aspect
- The boss would be furious if she discovers even a single mistake, and typically, my reports are not without errors
- I’ve never emerged victorious in this game before. How could I possibly win now? I still remember the time I danced in school — the entire hall erupted in laughter.
As Swami Vivekananda said,
Thinking yourself weak is the biggest sin on this earth
REMEMBER, Your past will not dictate your future, unless you entangle yourself in it
LEARN TO LOOK at the future through a whole new lens which is devoid of past experiences.

I know it’s easier said than done. But atleast now you know what you need to do.
Interesting point to ponder 💭
Maximum uncertainty to anyone is death.

When a person is dying, his soul leaves his body, and he will not like to lose control of it. He is fighting back to be in his body. A sense or bewilderment strikes him at that time, a sense of helplessness that some vital thing is leaving the body and he doesn’t want to let it go. He is uncertain what happens if he loses control of it. And, finally soul leaves the body.
Humorously, he thinks he can keep his soul within his control.
Control is but a mirage. Therefore, embrace the realm of uncertainty.
Cheers !
