Episode #12

“Vivianne, you have something brown around your mouth. What did you eat?”

“I didn’t eat anything, mom. I drank chocolate milk, remember?”

“Oh, yes, darling, totally forgot.”

“Where is your brain, mom?!”

“I’m sorry darling.”

“Mommy is in love…”, shouted Vivianne while walking away.

The door was just closed, and Harriette got very red on her cheeks. ‘I’m not in love.’, she whispered. She took her book she started a few days ago. After reading the first page, she got distracted. The thought of her with David. No, that is not possible. She takes violin lesson with him, and her daughter is his student, but damn, he is so hot to look at.

When Harriette tried to read her book again, she thought about her walking with David through the woods, him touching her cheeks, and her face in his hands while he kissed her passionately. She shook her head, to get off that thought. It didn’t help, she got more wild thoughts, with him involved.

“Mom, I am going to bed.”

Harriette awoke from her daydream about David. She was shocked by the presence of her daughter. As fast as she could, she closed her book.

“Mom,” Vivianne said again, with a fierce tone, “what were you thinking of?”

“Nothing.”

“Mom, don’t lie to me. I have seen you staring at your book, instead of reading.”

“How long have you been standing here?”

Vivianne shook her head and laughed at her mom. She waved her hand to her and said goodbye. Before going to bed, she read in that book about that wonderful violinist.

When Vivianne thought about her mom and wrote in her diary:

‘I had my violin lessons today. The look my mom and David exchanged, was so weird. More like love, real love. My mom is also a little bit sad. She still thinks about daddy. But what I have seen when I came into my mom's room while she thought she was reading her book, but actually she thought about my violin teacher. My violin teacher and my mom? I don’t know. Nice idea, btw.’
