Episode #5

“One lesson was possible and then I’ll see what is possible.”

The answer from her mother, Harriette, made Vivianne very satisfied. At least, one violin lesson to taste the violin and its possibilities made Vivianne very happy. Finally, her dream came true: to hold a violin in real life, instead of pretending to hold a violin in her hands.

“But where do I get a violin then?”

She sounded a little bit worried and she pulled her from her mother. Then, she took her tablet. She searched for violins online. After a few looks, she found one.

“Mom, look.”

“I see it, darling. But the teacher I spoke with told me he will bring one that is your size.”

“Are there more sizes? Wow, it’ll be more fun.”

Vivianne burst out in laughter. And her mother did too. Both had a fun time for a few minutes before Harriette decided to make some warm hot chocolate. With whipped cream, of course. That is how they like it best. And it tastes so good. The most fun part is that get whipped cream on their nose and around their lips. It looked so funny. They seemed like Santa with a beard.

Days went by before Vivianne knew it. And then the first Friday of the proof lesson arrived. When she woke up this morning, she became very nervous and cried about it. Her hands thrilled the whole time when her mother drove them to the lesson in the next village, not far away. About ten minutes of driving.

When she arrived, Vivianne introduced herself to the teacher. That teacher looked familiar to her.

“I think I know you, sir.”

“You really do? Where from?”

“Are you David Feldman?”

“Yes, I am.”

“I have seen all your videos on YouTube.”

“Thank you very much, young lady. At least I try to inspire other young violinists.”

“You inspired me, sir.”

“Please, call me David.”

They tried the violin for Vivianne. It was more difficult than she thought it would be. It seemed so easy when others play the violin. She tried another time.
