Meet Bill Abbate
Senior editor at ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications on Medium
This post introduces Bill Abbate, a senior and consulting editor of Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium, a leadership consultant, an avid reader, a published author, a prolific writer with a substantial writing portfolio.
Writing his first article for an architectural magazine in 1995, Bill published more than 40 magazine articles before joining Medium. He started writing and regularly publishing on Medium soon after becoming a member in February 2020.
As a prolific writer, Bill recently published his 600th Medium article and is well on his way to 700! Shortly after Dr Mehmet Yildiz started the Illumination Integrated Publications, Bill joined the editorial team.
Before his first retirement, Bill served as an executive in several international companies. As a result, he brings a great depth of leadership experience into much of his writing.
Retiring a second time from professional coaching, you will find this part of his career greatly influences his writing style.
Bill spent much of his youth living in Asia and Europe. As an adult, he worked mostly for US divisions of German and British owned companies and traveled the world extensively.
One of the perks Bill feels he receives as an editor is the opportunity to read a wide variety of work from a large group of diverse writers, especially in Illumination.
Working in this role requires a great deal of reading and thinking, two of his favorite pastimes!
Bill retired to his home state of Virginia in the Richmond area with Jane, his beautiful wife, and their three impressive Burmese kitties.
