I am Martynas Ki. (@strangecash) the editor of “Short. Sweet. Valuable” publication.

Today I want to tell you about my initiative that I started recently — it’s called “Medium Talents”.

The Concept

Since I came back to the platform, I met a lot of incredibly good and talented writers. The problem is that the vast majority of them, in my opinion, do not get enough attention here. From my personal experience, I really know how demotivating it can be! 😔

I am reading a lot here and searching for writing talents every day. And when I see an amazing story that has something like 20 claps in total… Damn, it just hurts. 💔

That is the reason why I started this initiative called “Medium Talents” — to encourage not-so-popular Medium writers to keep on writing. To show them that Medium is not dead and someone truly cares about their work. 🤗

The Lists of Medium Talents 📜

There are so many genres, topics covered in various Medium stories, so I decided to divide them into several lists:

· Medium talents — a list of stories about life itself, motivation, writing and more.

· 🥺 Please come back to Medium 🖤— a list of stories that were published a long long time ago. In most cases, authors left Medium a considerable time ago also. Maybe my initiative will bring them back on the platform and encourage them to write here again!

· Medium Tech Talents —a list of articles about coding, programming, databases, etc.

· Medium Poetry Talents — the title says it all. Dive into these beautiful pieces and let the words transport you to another world!

· Best AI writers on Medium — last but certainly not least: stories about AI written by awesome Human writers!

Check those lists and you will see how many incredibly good stories are out there! 😊

How to contribute?

If you like my idea and want to support my initiative — these are completely free ways to do it! ✅

📣 Publish your stories to “Short/Long. Sweet. Valuable.”

Nearly 2 months ago I started two Medium publications:

The idea of these pubs is pretty simple — if your story has around or less than 300 words publish it to the “Short”; if it is significantly longer — then select the “Long” pub. As easy as that! ✔

There are no topic restrictions — just ensure your content complies with Medium Rules. No draft requirement either!

You also don’t need a paid Medium membership to join them.

And joining them (gaining a “writer” role) is super easy as well — you just have to leave a comment under one (or both 😅) of these stories: click here to apply as a writer for “Short. Sweet. Valuable”; or here to apply for “Long. Sweet. Valuable”. That’s it!

What are the benefits of publishing there?

As I am writing these lines the “Short” publication already has 2182 followers and the “Long” one has 748 followers.

⚠️ If you publish in those pubs your story will be distributed not only to your followers but also to the followers of the pub.

In other words, you should get more views and reads on your story. That’s the main benefit.
