If you ever thinking of leaving Medium and then returning back (just like I am doing right now 😁)… Well then, my dear, I have some friendly advice to you. Submit your post about your marvelous return to the “Welcome Back to the Platform” publication, which I created like 5 minutes ago, and celebrate the awesomeness! 🦸♂️
And of course don’t forget to follow the pub, because it might be interesting to know why people are leaving and then returning to the platform. 🤔
By the way, this is my first-ever Medium publication. I wrote before how I “hate” them, but this time I decided to know my enemy from inside. 😈

So Hello, Hello once again to you all! 👋
It’s been a while, it’s been ~147 days since I published my last story on the inexhaustible universe of Medium.
And to be really honest I thought that I had quit this platform forever and never-ever gonna return. I thought that my stories and profile will sink in the limitless ocean of Medium, like for many other users before.😭💀
And it happens all the time — the majority of Mediumers leave the platform for some time, swear to God never to return, but finally, after some time they come back.
And I am no exception — I fit perfectly into this scenario. 🥴
So why, oh, why? Why did you decide to go back to Medium?
Good question, actually 😉
I think these are the main reasons:
- I want to improve my English and skills in writing (and creating content in general). 🇺🇲 🇭🇲 🇬🇧
- To find new like-minded people and expand my reach. 👨👨👦👦
- For a final time try to crack the almighty Medium algorithm and try to earn “real” money here. 🤑
And why did you leave in the first place?
Because it seemed almost impossible to succeed here, in terms of earnings, views, and/or reads. To be honest, I got demotivated very soon by my Medium results.
But in my opinion, it is not only Medium’s problem, it’s a broader problem.
I mean it’s almost 2024 now and it is almost impossible to succeed in any platform if you are just starting out. I have that kind of sense and that feeling doesn’t leave me even in the deepest night’s sleep. 😂💤
But let’s do the impossible, let’s try to conquer Medium one more time… 🦸♂️
🌏 The world keeps spinning…
So it seems, it happened a lot since I’ve been gone.
Medium changed a lot of things, like discontinued the referred members program. And probably many many more things, like this “accept India or not” to Medium Partner Program drama.
And yeah, you probably already know this stuff, but I don’t. 😅
So in the upcoming days, I will try to catch up with all the updates and write stories about them. 💪
So this was it. This was my “Welcome back to Medium” post. 🎉
