Summary

The undefined website is inviting former Medium writers to return to the platform by submitting their comeback stories to a new publication, "Welcome Back to the Platform!"

Abstract

The undefined website features a call to action for Medium users who have previously taken a break from writing on the platform. The publication "Welcome Back to the Platform!" has been created by Martynas Ki. (@strangecash), who recently returned after a five-month hiatus. The purpose of this publication is to collect and share stories of writers making a comeback to Medium. To contribute, writers must follow the publication and leave a comment on the current article to gain writer status. The stories should focus on the writers' return to Medium, their reasons for leaving and returning, and their plans to make this time different. The publication accepts both drafts and already published pieces, which is an exception to the standard practice of many Medium publications. Contributors are encouraged to use tools like Grammarly for grammar checks, and while AI tools can assist, purely AI-generated content is not accepted. Affiliate links are allowed as long as the story provides value to the reader. Martynas Ki. also invites readers to check out his other articles, showcasing his journey with Google AdSense and his two-decade experience in making money online.

Opinions

  • Martynas Ki. believes that there are many good writers on Medium who have stopped writing and hopes this new publication will encourage them to return.
  • He considers it naive but worth attempting to bring back these writers, showing a mix of optimism and realism.
  • The publication is inclusive, accepting stories that have already been self-published, which is presented as a distinctive feature compared to other Medium publications.
  • Quality is important, with a requirement for grammar checks using tools like Grammarly, but there is flexibility in the length of the stories submitted.
  • There is an openness to writers using AI tools for assistance, but a clear stance against purely AI-generated content.
  • Writers are encouraged to share their genuine experiences and reasons for leaving and returning to Medium.
  • The inclusion of affiliate links is permitted, provided that the story offers genuine value and the links do not overshadow the content.
  • Martynas Ki. shows appreciation for engagement with his work by inviting readers to explore his other articles, indicating a desire to build a community and share knowledge.

Welcome Back to the Platform! — Submit your story now!

This publication is searching for writers who are making a return to Medium. You can be one of them! 🦸‍♂️

Welcome Back to the Platform!

🖤 Dear Medium user,

First of all, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this article.

I am Martynas Ki. (@strangecash) and recently I came back to Medium after a ~5 months break. Here is my story:

So as you can guess I’ve created this publication with a sole purpose — I hope it will be full of stories of those who abandoned the platform and after some time decided to return.

Because there are so many good writers here who stopped writing, and maybe this pub will encourage them to come back.

Maybe it’s naive but let’s do the impossible! 💪

🖋️ Requirements to become a writer here

It’s really easy!

  1. Follow this publication.
  2. Leave a comment on the article that you are reading right now.

That’s it! I promise it will not take long and you will be granted a writer status and be able to submit your story here! 🥳

If you are completely new to Medium, here is a quick tutorial on how to submit your article to Medium publications in general:

📃 Requirements for your story

  • Your story must be about your return to Medium. Well, because that’s the whole point. 😂 Although it is not required, it would be interesting if you mention the reasons why you left Medium in the first place, why you are returning, and why this time will be different.
  • The draft story is NOT required. I will approve stories in draft format as well as self-published stories before. I think it’s important to mention this because most of the publications accept only drafts and this one is an exception to this standard. 📃
  • Grammar check. Use Grammarly or any other similar tool to check the spelling and grammar of your story. ✅
  • Length. I really don’t care about the length of the story — it can be 1 minute or 75 minute read. It’s up to you, my dear! 💯
  • No AI written content. Although your story can use some helping hand of AI tools, pure 100% stories written by AI will not be approved. 🤖
  • Affiliate links. You can include as many affiliate links as you want. 💰 I have no problem with that! Just keep in mind that your story has to provide some sort of value to the reader and affiliate or self-promoting links can not overshadow the very essence. 💖

That’s it! I wish you the best of luck on your ongoing journey in Medium! 🙃

And if you like what I do, please read my other articles. Thank you! 🙏
