A few days ago I purchased sweet.pub domain and I want to share some insights on how we can grow together by using it! 🚀

First, I want to propose one thing to all Medium Writers, especially to those who publish in “Short/Long. Sweet. Valuable” publications.

Let’s update our Bios!

For computer geeks (like me 😅) BIOS may associate with different things but Bio on Medium is a small text that is displayed after your profile in various places. For example, mine looks like this:

Why is it important? 🤔

Because many readers see this text, and if you put a link in it, there is a good chance that someone will click and explore the content inside!

So my proposal is pretty simple — let’s put a custom sweet.pub link in our Bios in the following format:

https://sweet.pub/@your-medium-username

By default, this link will redirect users to your Medium newsletter subscribe page. Take a look at this example: https://sweet.pub/@strangecash

So in other words, sweet.pub acts like a URL shortener for Mediumers: sweet.pub/@your-medium-username is just a bit shorter and prettier version of a longer URL medium.com/@your-medium-username/subscribe 💎

The redirect to the “subscribe” page is already working for every Medium user! This is the default behavior and you don’t have to do anything! It just works! 💪
