“I Feel like Lots of White People want to Act like it’s Their Business what Other People Do”

A long-Ass comment that deserves to be seen🤣

Photo by Jo Jo on Unsplash

A wise white woman left a comment on my story called: “Treating ‘Black’ People Equally is The Quickest Way to be called a “Racist

She said:

I guess I just don’t see myself as the arbiter of other peoples behaviors. No one put me in charge and I’m not gonna act like I am. I feel like lots of white people want to act like it’s their business what other people do, and people who aren’t white seem more apt to mind their own business. I’m not going to go around criticizing black people like I have sooo much wisdom to offer cuz I really don’t.

- Melissa Balick

Amen to THAT Sister!

That’s why I have an issue with white people talking about how they are sensitive to the NEEDS of minorities.

WTF does THAT mean. Um…. not being racist?

Realizing that black people need help?

How exactly?

By GIVING us a seat at the white privilege table?

Fuck that shit …give me a seat to that (whatever) table cuz I earned it, cuz I’m right for the job but definitely NOT because of the color of my skin.

Everyone needs help sometimes but do black people desperately need a handout?… If so why?

I’m an optimist, I really don’t believe (white)people are going around thinking “ how can we push black people down”…unless they are some KKK cray asshole….but who really takes those people seriously?… I don’t.

Just like any asshole, I stay awayyy from negative criminal-minded people. Don’t know them, don’t want to.

I generally don’t think people are going around thinking about other people that way…unless it falls under the realm of gossip and other issues or upsets that has nothing to do with race.

People have their own issues to think about. I personally navigate my life through the golden rule. “Do unto other’s what you want to be done to you

I want respect, kindness and understanding.

If I don’t get it, and I care, I tell them what’s not working for me… then work together to resolve it.

I really LOVED your comment and I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Thank You Melissa Balick

I saved your comment my “Comments I Love❤” reading list.

I have a problem.

Doctors say I have mental illnesses. It’s my blood so I guess I’m slightly cray.*(‘cray’ is slang for crazy🤣)

I tend to leave long-ass, 1–2 minute read comments when I’m passionate about what a writer has said. This is one of them

Thank you for reading this.
