How Does Nature Inspire You?
Life newsletter #7, featuring March mini prompt by amazing writer & photographer BR Shenoy and celebrating the tremendous response to Life’s prompt collab with Carmellita

It’s been a rough couple of weeks listening to the horrific events unfold halfway across the world, in Europe as well as the not so hunky-dory economic situation stateside.
This can be anxiety-inducing.
It is therefore important, for the sake of our mental health, to check in with ourselves and see how we are doing. A great way is to spend time in nature to reflect and relax.
So I thought it a great idea to reach out to my dear friend B.R. Shenoy who is an amazing writer and nature photographer, to host this week’s mini prompt and she was kind enough to accept.
I feel that her words and pictures of soothing, tranquil scenes from nature will provide us with that much-needed break, to pause, reflect and restore.
So without further ado, I welcome B.R. Shenoy to share this week’s prompt collab:
My Musings and Reflections on Nature

Being outside in nature reminds us that we are a part of something much larger than ourselves. It instills in us a deeper appreciation for life.
The vast blue sky enters your being, eliminating any barrier that stands between you and the elements. You can’t help but smile as the wind caresses your face, removing all your worries.
We have the power to forget about ourselves and the world’s issues while we are in nature. In the form of sunsets, silhouettes, and sparkling light on water, nature teaches us to appreciate beauty and art.

Nature inspires trust, creativity, and tranquillity. It brings out knowledge and clarity of vision and purpose.
Nature facilitates the formation of friendships and partnerships by diverting our focus away from phones, computers, and television, leaving us instead with time together beside one another.
Nature Prompt

We can gain a greater appreciation for nature and a better grasp of examining our environment as we write about it and spend more time observing what we see outside.
🌸For this nature prompt, spend 15–20 minutes outside examining the environment around you. Describe whichever aspect of nature draws your attention or inspires you🌸
Reflection on nature experiences may be as simple as recognizing how you feel when the sunshine warms your shoulders, how you get inspired when you go for a stroll in the park, or your sense of awe when you look out on the mesmerizing colors of a magnificent sunset.
