Have you experienced a shift in consciousness or a shift in your awareness? Let’s share our experiences.

Has something happened? Have we all changed? Have we shifted our awareness, our consciousness? Why are so many making major life and career changes? Some think it is the result of a worldwide pandemic.

Perhaps.

Others believe these changes are not only caused by the worldwide pandemic, but also worldwide protests and now, the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Are we searching for meaning in our lives or have we collectively decided to create meaning in every moment?

Still, what is consciousness? Scientists, Philosophers, psychologists, and Spiritual leaders alike argue about the intricacies of its effects but they all seem to agree that consciousness is your awareness of self and the world you live in. This includes an awareness of thoughts feelings, memories, and environment.

Our consciousness can shift with a simple thought or idea. Through reading, study, meditation, life experiences, and writing, my consciousness has shifted from aimless ambition to purpose, passion, and vision.

Specifically, life experiences have shown me the futility of chasing happiness, trying to save a world that didn’t ask for it, and pursuing perfectionism. As my consciousness shifted, I discovered how alignment with love and abundance allows the best to flow in my life.

An Accidental Writer Finds Her Voice

Similarly, our fellow friend and writer Yana Bostongirl experienced a shift in her consciousness. Yana had a major shift in consciousness when she became an “accidental” writer and she’s been sharing words of knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration ever since.

Simply by taking a leap of faith and sharing her thought-provoking stories, Yana is not only a great writer, but she’s made more leaps and bounds as an Editor and Columnist for Coffee Times. Many of you have probably enjoyed several stories from her column, Life.

A few weeks ago on Medium, she and I had an exchange about how many are now experiencing a shift in their consciousness and their awareness. We think it’s a conversation to be had with all the changes going on in our world.

Building on a Conversation — A Writing Prompt Collab Emerges

To build on this conversation, during the month of March, Yana Bostongirl and I are hosting a prompt collab to explore ideas about shifts in consciousness and awareness you may have experienced in your life.

To participate in the conversation and prompt all you have to do is share your thoughts on consciousness, specifically

  • How has your consciousness shifted?
  • How has this shift affected your life?

Be sure to tag, Yana Bostongirl and Carmellita (you can just copy and paste our names) so we can read your story. I will share my picks of your amazing stories, in my posts throughout the month.

And our friend, Yana Bostongirl will be picking one story every week that spoke to her the most to be featured on the Life column on Coffee Times Substack. This is in addition to the 3 Editor’s picks which will be promoted on Coffee Times social media sites on Twitter, LinkedIn, and FaceBook.

Anyone who wants to add to the conversation can participate, I’d personally like to invite:
