Guest Prompt Week 2, Day 2: Wilfredo Resto
Prompt + short interview

Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play. — Mike Singletary
Ohh, this wonderful game called life! That quote actually made me think of Marilyn Flower and her playfulness, in all shapes and forms. Marilyn, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that you never fail to inspire me and my inner child!!!😁
It’s week 2, day 2! Guess who today’s special guest is? Wilfredo Resto, of course! He’s been publishing articles in KTHT since April, this year — not a long time, but just enough for us to always look forward to his outstanding content. I’m very excited to share his prompt choice with y’all:
“An open door won’t take you anywhere if you don’t walk through it.”
I mean…He’s got a point. We’re so focused on complaining about closed doors that we fail to notice the ones that opened for us. And, if we do notice them, we’re terrified to walk through them because of what might happen. Or what might not happen.
I asked Wilfredo Resto how he chose this prompt for us. Here’s his response:
“I came up with this prompt idea while reading a John Maxwell book called ‘Change your world.’ It made me think about all the opportunities we lose because we don’t dare to take the steps needed to reach them. Everyday, life opens many doors for us, but only we can decide to cross them. If we have a dream, we need to work for it and make it happen, or it would be just that, a dream we forgot upon awakening. “
I feel ya on this one! I think we all have something to contribute to this world, it’s just a matter of taking the granted opportunity to do so.
I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s take on this prompt! Also, don’t forget to stay tuned for the last guest prompt of this week that will be released on Friday.
Merci beaucoup, Wilfredo Resto for the opportunity to reflect on your inspiring words! 💛
