Fragmented View of a Mountain Tip
Prompt #1 — Fragmented View. Es Vedra shows me

Beauty solidified in rocky structures shows me the power of standing ground.
Mountains can change the weather just by being. Supporting ‘becoming’, on her way to reaching further heights.
Climbing to clarity is no hierarchical feat. It’s a process of combining senses and understanding that sight will always show a limiting frame.
Es Vedra is Es Vedra knows Es Vedra shows me
Her solidified beauty can be glimpsed from Ibiza soil. Red soil. Rocky soil. Fertile soil.
My breathing stops for a minute when her fragmented view lands first in my eyes. My skin shivers as my other senses feel her presence arising. Proximity without expectations.
I did suspect Ibiza was more than just another subtropical island with sandy beaches and a clear blue sea.
And now I know. Es Vedra is Gaia, dressed to impress in full mountain skirt.
She holds the memories of the world beneath her skirt, in her rocky womb. Moist with longing, crying salty tears about what we have become.
Her true beauty is hidden from human eyes. Her true beauty can be felt by human bodies moved by a sensate longing for less fragmented views.
My gaze can only scratch the surface of her majestic being and powers of becoming.
Mesmerizing magnetism brings magic.
Currently, Mike and I are on Ibiza for changemaker projects to align human systems with ecological truths. We are enjoying ourselves tremendously. Loving the sun after many cold months in our Dutch caravan. Loving nature connection, the herbs in the woods, and the sea who tells me stories about mermaids climbing trees.
So far, I have only read the poetry of The National Poetry Month in Literary Impulse. Not written any. My friends Tree Langdon and Joe Luca tagged me though and I was inspired by many beautiful poems by some of my favorite authors.
Yesterday, I was blown away by the power of a mountain. Es Vedra. I already felt Ibiza has a special quality for changemakers. A lot is happening here, but so far I had no idea why here. To me, it was just a subtropical island trying to find alternatives for mass tourism. Trying to build new economic structures with regenerative farming and cluster entrepreneurship.
But yesterday, my view changed.
There are many myths about Es Vedra, the rocky mountain before the coast of Ibiza. And although her magnetic field is apparently a myth, I can feel her pull. Myth? Magic? My imagination?
It doesn’t matter. She did inspire me to write about a fragmented view, the #1 Literary Impulse prompt. Because that’s what we, humans, have been suffering from most. Failing to see the connections. Es Vedra knows. Es Vedra shows…
Here’s my own view of her. I’ll go back for beautiful sunset pictures, but for now, this one will have to do. Do you feel her power, just by standing tall and harboring the memories of the world?

Let me tag the people Tree Langdon tags combined with some other poetry lovers I admire. Hurray for poetry. Hurray for feeling deeply and writing a better world into becoming…

Thank you, Mike, for adding your wise energy to my words.
