Yup, we receive complaints all the time despite our best efforts.

This applies at work, at home, with colleagues, with friends.

We have to take a step back in order to appreciate the nature of complaints.

Then only can we show gratitude across multiple facets of our life.

When customers complain, it means that they have purchased our products or services.

Thank you.

When customers complain, it means that they have much higher expectations of us and want us to succeed.

Thank you.

When our parents complain about the lack of family time, it means that they love us enough to want us to be around.

Thank you, Mom and Pop.

When our spouse complain that we are working too hard, it means that they love having our company and that it is safe to share their good days or bad, without inhibition, worry or judgment with us around.

Thank you, my dear.

When our colleagues complain that we seldom go for lunch with them, it means that our presence is desired and missed.

Thank you, brothers and sisters.

When our friends complain that we have been missing out on recent gatherings, it means that they still consider us part of their in-group and want us around to feel complete.

Thank you, guys and girls.

Naturally, when prospects complain to our bosses that we hard-sell and that we will never be given the opportunity to enter their office ever again

Shrug our shoulders and laugh.

Laugh out loud.

Really, I genuinely mean it.

Firstly, that proves we have been working really hard.

Secondly, our prospects has taken notice!

There is so much to rejoice when we receive complaints.

It just means we are special to that someone.

Is it delusional or with gratitude?

I choose the latter.
