Top hint: if you don’t repurpose your content what the heck are you doing? It is one of the BEST time and energy saving tools like, EVER!

Let’s crack on with tip #3.

Format for readability

Now, this particular tip is for articles, blog posts, Medium stories (or equivalent) and emails. Anywhere you are creating long-form content.

No one wants to read big chunks of information all at once. They will take one glance at it and move on because it looks overwhelming and clunky.

Whitespace is your best friend.

Check out this article by Nick Babich who explains the use of whitespace beautifully!

By formatting your writing, you can create a visually appealing content piece that is just as important at pulling your ideal customers in as the words themselves.

How do you create whitespace and easy to read formatting?

Using headings, subheadings, images and graphics to break up long form content is a great place to start! This helps lay out your information in a clear and easy to follow format.

You can also try breaking up large chunks of information into smaller paragraphs.

Other things you can do:

  • Bullet lists (like this one)
  • Numbered lists
  • Use different fonts like italics and bold.
  • Change margins and font sizes.
  • Use interesting headings, font styles, images and graphics.
