Time is your most valuable asset. So why waste it creating every piece of content from scratch?

Repurposing and reusing your content is the number one way to save you time, effort and headaches!

Not to mention, it makes use of all your amazing content. If something is performing well, gaining traction and engagement you need to capitalise on it!

Turn it into something new and send it out in front of even more eyes, so you can continue to grow and thrive.

How does repurposing content work?

It really is all in the name.

You take one piece of content and repurpose it, or change it, to be published in a different format or with a different spin.

For example, I am a word nerd. Writing is where my strength lies so I tend to use what I call my hero piece of the week, a blog post to platform the rest of my content for the week (or longer)off. I publish blog posts on my website each Monday.

I then use that blog post in several ways.

I create an email for my list (sent out on a Tuesday with a link back to the original blog post).

I pull out the main points from the blog post and turn them into:

  • Instagram posts
  • Instagram reels or stories
  • Facebook posts
  • A Twitter thread (this is a recent addition)
  • Create infographics and Pins for Pinterest.

See how easy it is to reuse that one piece of content?

More recently, I have also been rewriting old blog posts to publish here on Medium! I have loved taking those blogs and putting a fresh spin on them. Plus it is a great way to give a traffic boost to my website (and Medium profile) with the linking between the posts.

Repurpose, Repurpose and Repurpose some more!

There are SO many ways you can reuse that one piece of content.

You could take a Facebook Live and turn it into a Medium story or blog post.

That Instagram Reel that got lots of views? Turn it into a TikTok, a static Instagram post or even a YouTube video.

Think about turning podcasts and interviews into blog posts and social media posts.

Or YouTube and Facebook or Instagram lives into infographics, emails, eBooks or guides!

Honestly, you are only limited by your imagination and where your ideal customers hang out online.

So, how are you going to repurpose your content?
