Check Out These New Features on the DJI Air 3

The DJI Air 3 has double the flight time and double the cameras.

So, in some of my past stories, I’ve talked about all sorts of cool tech stuff, and you can find the links to those at the end of this post. But right now, I wanna chat about DJI and their latest baby, the awesome Air 3 drone! It’s gonna be epic!

What is DJI?

So, DJI stands for “Dà-Jiāng Innovations,” and they’re basically a super cool company that’s all about drones and aerial technology. You know those nifty flying machines you sometimes spot zipping around, capturing amazing aerial shots, or even delivering packages? Well, chances are high that it’s a DJI drone up there doing its thing!

The story of DJI started in 2006 in Shenzhen, China, when a group of tech enthusiasts with a passion for remote-control helicopters decided to create something extraordinary.

They wanted to make drones accessible to the masses, not just professional photographers or filmmakers but also regular folks like you and me who might want to explore the skies and capture breathtaking views.

DJI quickly became a pioneer in consumer drones and aerial imaging technology. Their drones are known for their reliability, ease of use, and exceptional performance, making them a favorite among hobbyists, content creators, and even professional filmmakers.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker looking to capture epic adventures or just want to explore the world from a bird’s-eye view, DJI has a drone for you.

One of the secrets to DJI’s success is its commitment to innovation. They invest heavily in research and development, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the drone industry. What is the DJI Air 3?

DJI just dropped a hot new update for their Air range of drones! The DJI Air 3 is the latest model, and it’s got some awesome upgrades. One of the coolest features is the dual cameras they’ve slapped on the front.

You’ve got a wide-angle lens and a 3x medium telephone camera, which means your photography and video game are gonna be on point!

And hold up, it gets even better! The new Air 3 boasts 48-megapixel images from each camera and can shoot 4K video at 60fps. Plus, they’ve supercharged the battery, giving you a flight time of up to 46 minutes — that’s 48% longer than the 2S!

DJI didn’t stop there, though. They’ve thrown in some sweet tech, like omnidirectional obstacle sensing and their fancy O4 HD Video Transmission. This bad boy can send high-def videos up to 20km (12.42 miles) away.

No more worrying about video quality when you’re flying far out! Oh, and for our European friends, the Air 3 supports the 5.1GHz frequency band. Nice touch, DJI!

Now, let’s talk camera specs. These cams ain’t messin’ around. They both rock 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensors with 2.4μm pixel size and 24mm format equivalent. The wide-angle has an F1.7 aperture, while the medium telephone has F2.8. Together, they’re a dynamic duo that delivers consistent photography in any situation.

Pilots will love the 3x optical zoom on the telephoto camera, and you can switch between the two lenses depending on your field of view. Oh, and get this — they’ve got FocusTrack, a cool feature that automatically keeps your subject in the frame.

For all you social media enthusiasts, the dual-camera setup even supports 2.7K vertical shooting. That means your portrait videos will be ready to share without any annoying cropping!

The DJI Air 3 is up for grabs right now. In the US, it’s going for $1,099, $1,349, or $1,549, depending on the package. In the UK, it’ll cost £962, and in Central Europe, it’s going for €1,099.
