Word of the Day: Teach!
“I’ll never learn this!” Jamie threw his rod aside.
“Patience,” his grandfather chuckled, retrieving the rod. “It’s not just about catching fish, but learning to sustain yourself.”
Jamie scowled, watching Grandad deftly bait the hook. “Easier said than done.”
“True. But remember, give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.”
Jamie’s attempts were clumsy initially, but as the sun dipped, his line finally tugged.
“Aha!” His pride was infectious.
“See? Now you’re not just surviving; you’re thriving.”
Jamie grinned, understanding dawning. “Tomorrow, I teach you video games.”
