Russian strike kills three people in Kharkiv region, governor says

Russian missiles, on Saturday, 16 July 2022, hit Kharkiv Oblast’s Chuhuiv. At least three civilians are reported to have been killed. Three other individuals were injured during the attack.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, more than 50 Grad rockets hit Dnipropetrovsk Oblast’s Nikopol. Two people were reported killed. The missile strikes come after Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the military to expand operations in Ukraine to “protect the Donbas”.

Russian forces have been accused of using the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to store weapons and shell the surrounding area of Ukraine by the president of Energoatom, the Ukrainian nuclear energy authority.

Renfe is Spain’s national railway company, running most regional and high-speed AVE trains on the country’s extensive railway system. It’s easy to visit the biggest Spanish cities on the AVE train, such as Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. The latest addition to the AVE network is Granada, just 53m from Antequera.

Spain, on Friday, 15 July 2022, introduced free tickets for both suburban and medium-distance services Renfe. Renfe, founded on New Year’s Day 2005, is the state-owned railway operator. The railway operator will start distributing free tickets from Thursday, 1 Sept. 2022 and will continue to do so until the end of the year. Other public transport modes already have a 30% discount.

The State Duma is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia

Russia, on Thursday, 14 July 2022, enacted a law which compels all companies to comply with the armed forces’ orders to provide goods or services. Further, if necessary, there is a provision that stipulates overtime or additional workdays must be provided.

Curiously, something anyone with a modicum of intelligence would have seen coming, the previously established requirement for a public procurement procedure for this type of request has been abolished.

Russian forces, on Sunday, 10 July 2022, target yet another apartment complex. The apartment complex, occupied chiefly by civilians, are hardly legitimate military targets. This point of fact hasn’t stopped Russian officials ordering airstrikes against such Ukrainian properties.
