At least 15 people killed when Russian forces target a Chasiv Yar apartment complex

Russian forces, on Sunday, 10 July 2022, target yet another apartment complex. The apartment complex, occupied chiefly by civilians, are hardly legitimate military targets. This point of fact hasn’t stopped Russian officials ordering airstrikes against such Ukrainian properties.

The latest apartment complex, situated in Donetsk Oblast’s Chasiv Yar, saw at least 15 people killed and dozens more individuals missing. There is still no sign of President Vladimir Putin directing his forces away from civilian properties.

“A Russian airstrike on a Chasiv Yar apartment complex continues to prove President Vladimir Putin hasn’t directed his forces to target legitimate military installations. MT: A Russian airstrike on a Chasiv Yar apartment complex kills at least 15 people,” tweeted Harsh Light News founding editor Shain E. Thomas.

During the previous week, on Friday, 8 July 2022, Luhansk Oblast’s Governor Serhiy Haidai reportedly said that Russian shelling has increased significantly. Much of his oblast, referencing 8,000 Sievierodonetsk residents, is on the verge of a “humanitarian catastrophe”.

The previous day, in Donetsk Oblast’s Kramatorsk, Russian airstrikes rocked the city. Numerous casualties reported, according to the city’s mayor, were reported.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Russian authorities reference Snake Island. Apparently, according to their reports, Russian forces have targeted the small island. An unspecified number of Ukrainian troops were killed during the missile strike. Ukrainian authorities, countering Russian claims, deny that any casualties have occurred.
