The World’s Great Pessimist
A Little Apocalypse?
So What?

It is gorgeous All the sounds And the silence: this beautiful catastrophe.
There is no news; there is only this beautiful catastrophe. We feel each other, Clinging to the “c.” The space between us is filled with this beautiful catastrophe. So we say [we’re] off again; The approaching footsteps, Are in horrible silence. So we walk, just like that; our steps on the pavement, silent and slow.
It’s only a little apocalypse. What? You thought the world was ending? The world is never-ending. It just ends. It just ends and then starts again. The world will always have apocalypses; We are not so special, and we are not alone. It’s all right, it’s all right — just a little apocalypse; Everything is as it should be
Yes, we grow older and wiser. Yes, we grow older with age. We value this because of its rarity. This is how the old say goodbye to the young: “When I was your age [AND] I [FELL TO ME], I was lucky to be able to stand up again” — This is not just a saying. It’s a description of fact; we all fall down and get back up again.
It’s so beautiful; It’s truly beautiful Regardless of the price its beauty pays: This is our most painful invention. It is a masterpiece. I have never seen anything like it. Please step forward and be seen that way; Please come up with a better name for this than “a poem.”

Poetry is everywhere 💚 But the question is, how much do you love it?

Age is a theme It’s not time that tells us the truth. It’s what we’ve learned from time. The way we have to get older is by death.
I wouldn’t like to see you go; I’m not sure of your plans, but I’d like to offer my hearty farewell. Moments away from laughter, we were sitting at the table; You were kind and funny, which we all needed in our lives. The sunshine you brought into these dark times has given us comfort and hope.
