- How to become a member of Medium
If you want to get paid for writing articles on the Medium platform, you need to be a paid member. You have two options, either a monthly subscription or an annual one.
It will cost you $5 a month, or $50 for the year. Either way, it is fantastic value for money considering the amount of enjoyment you will get back and the potential money you can make in return.

You have come this far, don't stop now, remember you cannot earn money without being a member. In my first month on Medium, I made $44.20, so I nearly paid my whole years subscription.
2) How do you qualify
To join the Partner Program, you first need to meet two eligibility requirements:
First, you must gain at least 100 followers on Medium.
Second, you must have published at least one story on Medium before applying for the Medium Partner Program.
3) Write at least one article, and gain 100 followers
The following steps are to write articles and to achieve 100 followers. Click on the links to find out more.
4) Register with Stripe
Once you have completed steps 1 and 2, you can then register with Stripe, and this is how Medium pays you for your articles. You simple link stripe to your Medium profile and your bank. Then you will get paid once a month for any money you have earned.
5) Complete the taxpayer's form
Relax; it is not as complicated as it sounds. Remember, we are here for any advice and support; follow the online instructions. If you link, click on the article below, which will give you a few instructions.
6) Register for the Medium Partner Program
Once you have completed the above five tasks, it is now time to register for the Medium Partner Program, Yippy!
If you do not complete all the stages above, your application will get rejected, and you will have to wait 28 days before you can apply again.
Once you have completed the above steps, write an article. Then, when you publish it, make sure you tick the box, "Meter my story, so it is eligible to earn money."
7) How to submit to a publication
Once you have written your article, you have a few options. You can either publish it to your profile or submit it to a publication.
A publication is run by the owner and sometimes editors, who will look at your article to decide whether it fits their criteria.
Each publication will be different. Most publications will only accept specific articles. For example, one publication may only accept articles about love, whilst another may only accept technology articles.
You will find a publication that suits your articles, and the fun part is to look for the right one, then requesting to become a writer for them.
My publication is dedicated to new writers and guarantees to publish your article, and we may give you some feedback, so you can change or re-word it slightly. We do this to help you develop and learn.

8) When do I get paid?
An excellent question, you get paid once a month, once your earnings have been calculated (once each month is complete). So it usually takes between 5 to 7 working days for the payment to hit your account.
