How To Submit And Edit Your Taxpayer Information On Medium

You want to get paid right?

I have been recently asked how to submit and edit my taxpayer information, so thought I would simply copy Mediums answer to this in an article.

You should take the following steps to submit your taxpayer information:

1. Sign in to your Medium account.
2. Visit the taxpayer information page.
3. Add your information. If you have any questions about items on the form, consult our Help Center articles for filling out a W-9 (for US taxpayers) or a W-8 (for nonresident aliens) and relevant IRS instructions.
4. You will receive an email confirmation from us once you have submitted your taxpayer information.

How do I modify my taxpayer information?

To modify your taxpayer information:

1. Sign in to your Medium account.
2. Visit the taxpayer information page.
3. Click the Edit button at the bottom-right corner of the form, and enter your updated information. If you have any questions about items on the form, consult our Help Center articles for filling out a W-9 (for US taxpayers) or a W-8 (for nonresident aliens) and relevant IRS instructions.
4. Click Next, and submit the rest of your tax information. You should see a confirmation screen at the end.
5. You will receive an email confirmation from us once you have submitted your taxpayer information.
