3 Things You Can Expect to Happen After Your Spiritual Awakening Ends
You become like a tree

1. Another Cycle Begins
A spiritual awakening never truly ends. You wake up to keep waking up until you’ve seen it all. You don’t see it all at once because you wouldn’t be able to handle all of it. More and more get revealed to you as you grow and evolve. As the years go by, your awakening doesn't end. It deepens. Like all things, an awakening is a cycle. One ends to make way for the other.
My first awakening happened during a breakup that had the scales fall off of my eyes. During that time, I found a strong interest in learning about the universe and more about myself, so I became interested in things like astrology and tarot. I was in complete darkness and I felt lost. This lasted for about two years and the second awakening started.
During the second, I had an encounter with the spirit of God while I was trying to find my way in the darkness. Spirit began leading, teaching, guiding, and training me. During that time, I was seeking the true meaning of life as I deepened my relationship with God and myself. It took a year to read the entire Bible and gain an understanding of it when I was called to read it. I was no longer into astrology or tarot, not because there was something wrong with it. No, but I gave it all up because I was relying heavily on the Spirit of God for teaching, guidance, instruction, and counseling.
Now, I’m at the very beginning of my third spiritual awakening and I don’t know exactly what’s ahead, but things are changing very quickly on a spiritual level. New things have been revealed and I’ve unlocked new levels. I feel called to write a book that’s to teach people how to wake up on the right side of the bed.
One thing that’s for sure is that each awakening stage changes you to the core. It tears down weak foundations and inspires you to rebuild something new on much solid ground. All my three spiritual awakenings have presented struggles to overcome, but my heart is more open than ever.
2. Your Heart Expands
You can expect one awakening cycle to last some years, but at the end of each cycle, you find that your heart is getting bigger and bigger. Like a flower, you find that you’re opening up to new teachings, new ideas, new opportunities, new people, new callings, and new missions. You become more and more generous and more caring, too.
The level at which I cared for my family and the people I crossed paths with increased with every awakening. During my first awakening, I really wanted to help people. During my second, I was helping many people and during my third, I’m supposed to help a 100 billion souls.
My heart has expanded so much that its contents overflow. The love, the joy, the peace, the abundance, the positivity, the kindness and gentleness, the knowledge, and wisdom. All of it overflows to those around me.
As you awaken and your heart expands, you can’t help but love and fall in love. You can feel the love from others easily, too. It becomes much easier to connect to people than before when you might have stayed away from people to protect yourself and your peace.
You feel connected to the entire universe, and life itself becomes your responsibility. You merge and become one with God. You fall in love with the earth and you want to see it stand and you adore nature and want to take care of the people, animals, trees, and the water on the surface.
Even though your heart expands and gets bigger, you feel so much lighter as you leave unnecessary baggage behind.
After my first awakening, I started to have compassion for myself. I could see that I had been through some really dark nights and I deserved compassion. I also had compassion for others. I stopped judging people and complaining about myself and others because I saw that everybody was doing the best they could. I knew that it wasn’t for me to judge the stage a person was at. I was looking at a much bigger picture. I had no interest in discussing people or criticizing them.
Each cycle of your awakening will have its own dark night when new things are revealed to you and yet will feel more grounded than ever.
3. You Become Grounded
Before my first awakening, I was easily shaken. It didn’t take much. It only took a thought, a feeling, a word, or an action to knock me to the ground and there is where I stayed for many days.
I’ve spent many years walking in the darkness and trying to find my way out. But whenever it felt like I was buried in the ground, I saw an opportunity to ground myself.
At the beginning of your awakening, you may have felt ungrounded because your spirit was pulling you up out of the pit you were in, and at that time, you had nothing to hold on to. But when you’re taken out and placed on fresh ground, it’s a chance to hold on to something. It presents an opportunity to grow your roots.
This is a physical reality. It’s easy to become so impressed with the spiritual side of life that you don’t want to return to the ground. Many have their heads stuck in the clouds as they peek into the cosmos and the feet to the heads aren’t grounded and so they're easily shaken.
But the more you learn, the more you know to ground yourself to the earth, which holds you as you peek into the stars.
You awaken to work, but your work must be physicalized, which means being grounded and becoming a living embodiment and a frequency for the spirit of truth to move.
As you become grounded, you no longer chase after people or go after angels, spirit guides, or dead people. You no longer have the need to escape from here. You also no longer have the urge the run from life. You do not need to get away from people as you might have needed to in the initial stages of your journey.
You may already be a highly sensitive person, but you become extra sensitive as you grow and it’s sometimes too much that people shut the entire world out and go into hermit mode. It’s very difficult when you can feel the energy of people, hear their thoughts, and know their intentions. It’s hard when you’re so sensitive you can hear the cry of the planet and sense the fear in the collective. It can be overwhelming, especially when you’re ungrounded and, therefore, aren't fully in your power.
But as the years go by and your roots grow deeper and deeper into the earth, you come across a power that lies deep within and you gradually step into it. Then you can control the energies around you. You can choose not to absorb anything that doesn’t belong to you. You’re able to mind your business and interfere in the lives of others only when you absolutely have to. You learn how to put up energetic shields around yourself and set boundaries for yourself and others.
As you become more grounded within yourself, you become less fearful. For me, the presence of God in my life is perfect love and because fear has to do with punishment, perfect love drives it out. I fear nothing. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither heights nor depth, nor anything else in all of creation. I know that what’s in me is so much greater than what’s out there.
As you awaken, you feel less fearful and so you’re able to conquer fear, face everything and everyone with courage, and live your life boldly. You understand that no energy outside of you is stronger than you are.
I still feel some fear sometimes because I'm flesh and weak, but it has no place to stay. I deal with it as soon as I see it coming, and so it leaves as quickly as it comes. The more I surrender to God and my higher self, the less fearful I become. Even when I’m in the middle of a roaring storm, I still have a deep peace that doesn't seem to go anywhere. I still hurt. I still get worried and stressed. I still get sad and depressed, but this deep-seated peace is a fruit of the spirit. I earned it. It’s mine. It never goes away, and it doesn't change. It's always there, strengthening and empowering me.
As you ground yourself and step fully into your power, you also find that your energetic field becomes so powerful that nothing from the outside can penetrate it, and so you’re not easily shaken.
You become like a tree deeply grounded.
Power is a natural byproduct of the spiritual awakening process. You don’t wake up to see and perceive things the same way. You wake up to perceive things differently and when you see things differently; you are empowered and can then withstand harsher and denser energies you couldn't stand before.
You become like a mighty oak tree with roots reaching the heart of the earth, going through cycles of change and transformation without putting up a fight. And with roots that go as deep, you can spread your wing leaves and reach for the heavens, dancing with the stars the whole way.
